Job Description

The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a population-based health research initiative at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. SPHS aims to investigate the interactions between lifestyle, physiological, genetic and other omics biomarkers and their impact on health and longevity. In addition, SPHS will serve as a platform to monitor risk factors in the population and gain insight into determinants of health-related behaviours. For this purpose, SPHS includes over 50,000 adult Singaporeans and long-term residents from three major ethnic groups (Chinese, Malay, and Indian), for a better understanding of disease aetiology in urban Asian settings, and the development of improved preventive and therapeutic measures for Singapore and other Asian populations.

JOB PURPOSE
This role primarily involves the recruitment and data collection activities of the research projects under the SPHS unit that will contribute towards the building of a population health research biobank for Singapore.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Take consent from research participants before performing any research procedures
2. Perform basic assessments that include measurements of blood pressure and visual acuity, fundus photography etc. and enter data into the correct electronic form via a tablet. Keep to a turnaround time of 8-10min per participant.
3. Perform spirometry and keep to a turnaround time of 10-15min per participant.
4. Minimise the waiting of participants by directing them to next most available test station.
5. Encourage participants to perform procedures to meet the required standards to ensure that the data output is good to use for research.
6. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
7. Account for the inventory levels of consumables.
8. Conduct/undergo in periodic re-assessment of techniques to maintain consistency of image and data acquisition for standardisation
9. Ensure the safety and protect the privacy of research participants by adhering to best practices.
10. Perform data entry and data checks.
11. Any other responsibilities as required by future research projects.

Qualifications

1. A background in biomedical science, optometry or nursing is preferred
2. Diploma, NITEC or degree qualifications with a good command of spoken English and Mandarin/Malay (for interacting with non English speaking participants)
3. Work hours are: 7.45am to 6.15pm on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri; and 7.45am to 3.15pm on alternate Sat.
4. Comfortable with using a tablet to retrieve and update records.

Position Summary:

The Lab Support Specialist performs Instrument and Information Technology Support including infrastructure, software, system integration, instrument support, IT, and project management as required to support EFII growth across all sub-business units. The Lab Support Specialist will ensure assigned applications are effectively implemented and maintained to meet applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Develop or aid in the development of test plans for software validation and change control in accordance with all SOPs and Policies
• Validate and maintain computer software used to generate, process, or print raw data
• Perform simple to advanced programming activities including test, creation, or modification of the assigned applications based on user and/or system design specifications
• Identify opportunities to enhance automation/digitization within the business
• Complete specific programming or application improvement projects
• Review and update application documentation related to projects
• Develop, coordinate, and perform training sessions for users of the assigned applications/systems
• Evaluate new software for applicability within the business and determine if it meets SOP/Policy requirements for security
• Maintain all IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, IT closet, and hardware inventory
• Act as the liaison with the Eurofins IT NSC
• Lead application troubleshooting efforts within EFII
• Assist in risk mitigation efforts for disaster recovery plans, including performing or monitoring application/system back-up procedures
• Manage appropriate IT inventory on-site in Singapore to support the business growth and required response time
• Perform IT asset disposal
• Maintain neat and accurate records
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

• Ability to administer, manage, and maintain multiple applications and/or systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of PC, operating systems, IT infrastructure and security
• Advanced computer skills such as Power BI, SQL and Crystal Report
• Advanced knowledge in Windows-based data capture systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to learn new tasks
• Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Associates degree or at least 3+ years applicable experience in IT, infrastructure, or network environment (Vocational certificates are acceptable). Experience may be substituted for education
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer programming, network management, or comparable vocational certificates are acceptable
• Able to speak with internal clients to discuss user requirements, resolve minor issues, and understand business impact
• Ability to safely enter confined spaces and to troubleshoot IT systems
• Knowledge of ISO 17025, GLP, and GMP standards

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, requests, and issues related to logistics.
• Manage and reconcile customer purchase orders with deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Facilitate logistics-related communications and requests between UMC and customers.
• Provide logistics support during customer visits and meetings with UMC.
• Handle logistics processes from customer complaints to the issuance of credit memos.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor field.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office software.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversees brand integrity, messaging, and strategy alignment across all stages in the marketing funnel and marketing campaigns.
• Brainstorm and manage overall digital marketing strategy to drive lead acquisition and increase online presence.
• Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns and assess against ROI goals.
• Liaise with digital media and identify opportunities for media coverage fit for the brands.
• Copywrite in English and transcreate (mainly Chinese to English) for content in different formats, tones and channels; work with relevant functions for assets suitable for content.
• Consistently conduct knowledge research, brainstorm for new ideas and track trending topics to develop interesting content.
• Work with internal stakeholders to optimise content and copy for advertisement considering keywords, business objectives and budget.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop product positioning and marketing direction for products; contribute to product naming.
• Manage corporate social media accounts such as Facebook, Wechat, Weibo, Red, Youtube, Instagram etc., including content development, posting, building following, community nurturing, social listening/ monitoring and responding to feedback, enquiries and comments, to increase brand awareness, engage customers, and gather insights.
• Update marketing materials, maintain content asset database and communicate regularly with regional marketing teams.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams internal stakeholders to and contribute to product positioning and marketing direction for products.
• Assist in other marketing events and activities, when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Languages or other related fields.
• Excellent grasp of English language and copywriting skills.
• Proficiency in Chinese for translation preferred.
• Possesses knowledge and a keen interest in skin care and health and wellness products.
• Strong project management skills, comfortable to manage multiple stakeholders from cross-functional departments.
