Job Description

The Production Services Specialist will provide frontline application production support for Bank of America’s Regional Banking Applications in APAC. This role is the key focal point for the customer/client /associate experience and owns restoring complex/major production incidents under tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and pursues root-cause and problem resolution follow-up. Apart from that, the role will work with vendor/internal stakeholder to provide input for incident reporting to Regulator.

Responsibilities

Application Production Support for the Bank of America’s Global Banking Applications, primary responsibilities include but not limited to

· Identification and resolution of production incidents.

· Problem Management post incident resolution to determine root cause,

· Mitigating actions,

· Drive and track permanent resolution.

· Management of incident and problem tickets through the enterprise ITSM tool.

The role also includes.

· Capacity and Performance Management.

· Working with development teams for take-on and training of new services or significant upgrades.

· Providing support for Audits (internal and external).

· Stakeholder management, working closely with Business and Operations partners to understand KPI metrics to measure service stability to prioritize defect fixes and enhancements

Required Skills

· 5+ years of relevant IT experience (Production Support, ITIL, Release Support, Technical Implementations, or equivalent)

· Demonstrate flexibility, navigate ambiguity, and quickly establish credibility among technical peers.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

· Proven knowledge in some or all of the following: Java/J2EE – Core Java, JDBC, EJB, & Java Web Services & Experience in Server-side technologies - SOAP/Restful services, XML/XSLT, XML, JDBC, AOP, MQ Micro Services & MuleSoft.

· Good knowledge of Middleware components such as Message Broker, IBM WebSphere MQ, JBoss application server, MuleSoft

· Experience with real-time restoration, triaging of issues impacting technical services (application/infrastructure) to bank customers and partners in a timely manner while keeping partners advised of significant progress or challenges during the restoration period.

· Ability to work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development & Testing Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades, etc.

· Ability to assess initial severity, gather impacts, engage necessary supporting teams, and escalate as necessary to ensure timely restoration.

· Experience with on call support for triaging problems, coordinating with various support teams across the organization and carryout activities related to incident and problem management.

· Ability to communicate with all lines of business and management the overall status and health of the application, contribute to automation, causal analysis, develop shared/common solutions, and proactively identify cross-functional or technical issues.

· Ability to suggest, implement ideas for enhancing the customer experience.

Working on some weekends and bank holidays as part of a 5-day week shift pattern.

· Resolves complex issues. Works on problems of minimal-moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.

· Support of on-call rotation for off-hours and weekend support as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Seek and interpret inputs from across the organization to build a demand plan that will drive operational activity in line with the business objectives.

2. Manage the production plan and process operation in the plant.

3. Develop requirement plans for tollers to ensure the tolling plants is operating in line with planned requirements.

4. Manage the import and/or export of components or products to support the demand plan activities in other regions.

5. Manage inventory levels within target ranges for key materials and key locations. The aim is to have adequate material to maintain supply without increasing working capital costs to an unacceptable level.

6. Maintain understanding of short term & medium-term capacity availability and constraints. This is so that related enquiries arising from the supply, business and logistics teams can be addressed (in co-ordination with the Regional Marketing Manager/Global Business Manager) in a clear, accurate and responsive manner.

7. Respond to changes in plan in a timely manner. In addition to updating the demand plan and material movement requirements, this should also include highlighting likely impact of these changes to the business team. This is to ensure that the impact of these changes is understood across the Regional/Global teams.

8. Where required, participate in regional S&OP meetings. This will include providing reports on plans, inventory/capacity outlook, actions associated with product transitions and new product introductions. The aim is to use the meeting to communicate the demand plan and seek input and validation.

9. Collaborate with planners in one’s own region and other regions to ensure coordination of material requirements and shared global resources (such as plant capacity) and develop best practice procedures.

10. Be aware of, and support where necessary, other Supply operations within the region to ensure that Planning activities are aligned with Logistics and Procurement objectives.

11. Support Inventory and other ad-hoc reporting for both Demand and Supply Planning.

12. Support company quality and safety systems through day-to-day activities and via formal feedback mechanism.

Primary Responsibilities:

The incumbent will provide quality oversight on manufacturing site operations at the shop floor and co-ordinates with central quality functions as needed. The role will ensure and maintain high standards of quality and compliance within our organization.

• Act as a primary quality contact for assigned IPT & provide day-to-day quality support/guidance to IPT operations including quality decisions for manufacturing related events on the shopfloor.

• Quality review & approval of documents related to development & qualification of process & cleaning, examples include but limited to - protocol & report for cleaning development cleaning validation, process development, process performance qualification, Initial Continued process verification (CPV), campaign length extensions, dirty/clean hold time changes etc.
• Quality oversight on new/revised electronic or paper documents to support routine production operations, examples include but not limited to –Production batch sheets, cleaning batch sheets, re-packaging protocols, Bill of Materials (BOM) memo, Engineering Record (ER) in IPI, Engineering Change Order (ECO) in SAP, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), non-routine Batch Sheet (BS), e-Log for Batch Sheet (BS) redline markups etc.
• Review & Approval of Statistical Process Control (SPC) limit report, Yield reports
• Perform quality review & approval of routine production/facilities related documents including but not limited to – Environment Management System (EMS) review for manufacturing, warehouse and labs, pest control review, preventive & correction maintenance (PM&CM) extension requests.
