The role includes loading and unloading products, verifying delivery instructions and quantities, and ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations. Regular vehicle inspections and prompt reporting of maintenance needs are required. Effective communication with supervisors and customers is essential, as is maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. The role may also involve assisting with warehouse tasks and inventory management when needed.
