JOB DESCRIPTION

• Expected to work professionally in managing and training students, working with teachers and support school-wide projects and operations
• Manage and operate the Makers Garage
• Train and mentor projects relating to the Makers Garage
• Provide school-wide ICT support which includes professional media support and additional technical expertise to handle the increasingly sophisticated ICT implementation in schools (examples: support media equipment setup, TV messaging, video recording & editing and web conferencing for teaching and learning);
• Manage the implementation of events in schools (examples: media equipment setup, live streaming for major school events etc);
• Execute daily operational and administrative duties (examples: schedule for events, setup, test, monitor and troubleshoot audio, video and control systems problems as and when is required);
• Perform preventive maintenance for all media equipment to ensure that they are well maintained and in good working condition (Identify, recommend, purchase, install and configure equipment and services as when required);
• Maintain Audio Visual / Video conferencing equipment inventory, generate monthly reports and highlight low inventory numbers or faulty equipment;
• Be a point of contact for vendors, work closely with them to install and troubleshoot the issues (installing, testing, operating, maintaining and dismantling of equipment);
• Train students in Media Resource Club during their designated CCA days on Public announcement (PA) system, photography and videography;
• To assist, guide and advice students for Media related competitions, e.g. OSOS (Our Schools; Our Stories), etc.
• Provide support to the school in areas of videography and photography
• Other duties include providing consultancy and assisting all teachers in media-related matters and problems.
• Assist the Head ICT in other ICT related matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years’ experience as ICT trainer, preferably in a MOE secondary school environment
• 1 year experience in training students in public announcement (PA) system
• 1 year experience in training students in photography, preferably in a secondary school
• 1 year experience in training students videography, preferably in a secondary school
• A Diploma in a relevant discipline
• Relevant experience in managing a makerspace
• Familiar with common apps for iOS supporting makerspace (e.g. polycam)
• Technical skills pertaining to daily AV equipment setup, TV messaging, video recording & editing, live streaming, web conferencing etc and during school events AV support
• Ability to pick up and provide training for staff and students on ICT tools used by the school
• Possess a positive attitude and good analytical skills,
• A good team player who is proactive in sharing both suggestions and concerns,
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills as required for a trainer
• Adaptable to flexible work hours/working outside stipulated working hours whenever necessary

WORKING HOURS

• Mondays to Thursdays 7:30am to 4:30pm,inclusive of 30 min lunch break
• Fridays 7:30am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Teaching: Conduct engaging ICT training for students in areas such as design (Canva), video editing (CapCut), and animation (FlipaClip) as part of the school’s Digital Literacy Programme.
• Multimedia Integration: Collaborate with teachers to incorporate multimedia content, including videos and interactive elements, into lessons.
• Curriculum Development: Work with educators to develop multimedia-rich content aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• ICT Support: Assist in supporting the school’s iPad programme for both students and staff, along with AV support for school events.
• Content Management: Update the school’s website with relevant content and create corporate videos for school publicity.

Job Description

• Manage and be accountable for training delivery, quality and assurance in accordance with the regulations under relevant accreditation bodies such as SSG(WSQ), MOM(LSP) and the company’s policies and directives.
• Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction across all centres and in-house training.
• Stay current and informed with the latest training innovations, offering changes and requirements
• Ensure observance and adherence to all Avanta rules, regulations and policies.

Requirements

• Must have attained a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).
• Must possess WSQ-Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH Professional Level C) or equivalent or higher or should be a registered WSHO.
• Must possess at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the field Construction, Shipping/Marine, Metalworking, Metal Scaffolding, Oil/Petrochemical, Confined Space, Lifting, Rigger & Signalman, Manhole, Work-at-Height.
• Should preferably possess a minimum of one year of training experience in WSQ-related courses.
• Experience in MRT projects and LTA projects is an added advantage.
• Possessing the following qualifications will also be an added advantage.

Ø Working at Heights Train-the-Trainer

Ø Rigger and Signalman or WSQ- Perform Rigger and Signalman Tasks

Ø Lifting Supervisor Safety Couse or WSQ-Supervise Lifting Operations

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintains effective internal communication on learning needs and program to respective stakeholders.
• Effective administrative skills in tracking, record keeping, filing all training records.
• Support hotel audits with essential training records and follow company policy as well as local authority guideline in training related area.
