Job Description

• Hands on experience in design, implementation of Splunk architecture.

• Experience on Linux and Windows administration

• Able to do data onboarding, fields extraction according to Splunk best practices.

• Able to provide Splunk guide and Splunk operation document

• Able to setup forwarders and onboard new data sources into the environment.

• Able to troubleshoot and identify Splunk issue relating to performance and searches.

• Able to fine tune Splunk use cases (rule) and optimize searches performance.

• Able to create new dashboard to enhance the visualization of the data and create Splunk use cases for alerts/reports.

• Knowledge on index segregation and user restriction setup

• Knowledge on using Splunk Enterprise Security

• Able to do Common Informational Model for Enterprise Security.

Working with a back-office development team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the software solution for a high volume and performance intensive back office.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering
• Design, development, and maintenance of the software.
• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycles such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture
• Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the standard adopted by the Authority.
• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues.
• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.

Required Skills and experience:-

• Degree in Computer Science with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development.
• Gone through at least one full (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentations.
• Extensive experience in analysing requirements, designing,development and delivering complex enterprise applications in Java/JEE, web programming on UNIX / LINUX and Windows environment.
• Experience in Agile development methodology and continuous integration.
• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot will be an advantage.
• Experience in Message Queues.
• Experience in Solace will be an advantage.
• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization,Microservices will be an advantage.
• Experience in Cloud Computing, Kubernetes & Dockers, AWS Services like Amazon ECS Fargate, AWS RDS & Lambda will be an advantage.

1. Minimum 6 years of application development experience in respective platform with an overall software engineering experience of 8 to 12 years.

2. Proven experience in the following areas:

a.Design codes framework

b. Write efficient codes with minimal technical debt

c. Write effective unit and integration tests

3. Good communication skills & able to work with minimal supervision

4. Continuously resolving a minor or major of technical requests, inquiries, bug fixes and complaints

Application Developer Role:

• Work with the Solution Architect to design and code the solution.
• Proactively modify applications according to user requirements, identify potential issues, and devise mitigation plans.
• Provide technical consultancy services through analysis of business requirements.
• Work with the Solution Lead to gather, scope and draft requirement specifications.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise mitigation plans.
• Work with Project Manager to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
• Manage and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Track project milestones and provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Conduct and coordinate system testing to ensure defects / issues are raised and follow through and notify project team immediately on critical issues.
• Develop user guides and coordinate trainings.

• Degree in a Software Engineering / Engineering / Business Analytics related discipline.
