• Supervise a team of co-workers to achieve financial excellence, including the following: 1) timely and accurate monthly reporting and submission of financial results; 2) transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and group polices; 3) proper cost allocation for line of business reporting; 4) reconciliations of intercompany balances/transactions and key accounts are performed and reviewed; 5) preparation of harmonized set of statutory accounts for all entities within the ST Engineering Group
• Engage with business partners / management on financial results review
• Manage and lead harmonization and automation projects to ensure continuous improvement in quality and efficiency of accounting processes
• Coordinate closely with other shared service teams and business partners on procedures and accounting matters
• Liaise with external/internal auditors
• Support business partners on financial information/reporting
• Provide guidance and training to a team of co-workers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications
• Chartered Accountant will be an advantage
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting
• At least 3 years of managerial experience in Big 4 audit firm
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
• Good interpersonal skills – able to engage with co-workers from various work teams/levels
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to work independently and under tight timelines
• Proficient in SAP and Hyperion

Basic Job Scope includes:

• Uploading of New and Upcoming products to eCommerce Platform
• Ensure Pricing and Stock are accurate on all platforms
• Handle and fulfill daily phone and email enquiry from Customers
• Invoicing and Preparation of eCommerce daily orders (Waybills,etc)

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the commercial management of a grocery store mainly selling Indian grocery items, maximizing sales and minimizing losses.
• To lead and motivate the grocery store team, develop and improve all staff to reach and maintain a high level of customer service and selling skills.
• Ensure store operation standards are adhered to by all grocery store staff.
• Ensure daily briefing to staff on sales target.
• Ensure daily housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Manage complaints cases whenever necessary.
• Provide the training and coaching to the team.
• Responsible to review store transactions on a daily basis as a control to detect and prevent any irregular and suspicious transactions
• Monitor and maintain compliance of all company policies and procedures to make sound business decisions and communicate/educate all staff.
• Responsible for roster planning to ensure sufficient manpower at all time.
• Sets priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; develops plans to meet short-term objectives.
• Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years working experience in sales and distribution of merchandise in a retail environment, preferably in Grocery/Trading stores.
• Results-orientated with strong understanding of day to day in store operations.
• Energetic and self-motivated individuals highly preferred.

• Must be willing to work in shifts and public holidays
