An Assistant Cook, or Assistant Chef ensures the kitchen is orderly and assists Cooks to prepare and arrange food.

Their duties include cleaning and sanitising up the kitchen area, washing dishes and utensils and ensuring that the Cook has everything required to run the kitchen efficiently.

Assistant Cook duties and responsibilities:

5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, vendor contracts, and service histories. Such as maintaining the repair and maintenance tracker to keep track of the services provided.
• Prepare reports on maintenance expenses, vendor performance, and overall repair and maintenance operations for management review.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

• Act as a point of contact between different hotel departments and external service providers, ensuring effective communication.
• Collaborate with various teams within the hotel to plan and execute maintenance and repair activities without disrupting guest services.

• Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and emergencies as they arise.
• Find alternative solutions when vendors are unavailable or if there are equipment or service issues.

EF Singapore is looking for an amazing person to work as live-in Residence Assistant in our Residence at Chancery Court.

As a Residence Assistant you will live on-site with our EF students, providing general support and assisting with room checks, check ins and check outs.

Your main job is to make sure that the residence feels like a ‘home away from home’ for international students. This is an exchange of services. In return for your role as an RA, you have free accommodation living in the residence. Below you can find a list of some of the duties you can expect.

Mid-week duties are light and approximately 2-4 hours per week. Weekends are the main hours. Approximately 2 hours on a Saturday assisting with check outs & hours on a Sunday will vary, assisting with check ins.

Hours each week will vary depending on the number of students leaving and arriving.

The duties as a Residence Assistant include:

· Checking that rooms are ready, clean and available for arriving students (bed making & quick surface cleaning required)

· Meeting & greeting new students on arrival

· Assisting with checking in & taking students to rooms

· Informing arriving students about rules and fines (community standards)

· Regularly checking rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleaned
