Key Responsibilities:

• Seeking research assistant to investigate the impacts of various area-based conservation measures (e.g. REDD+ projects and protected areas) on tropical forests around the world
• Contribute to a better understanding of market- and non-market based conservation measures through data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings
• Role will involve acquisition and processing of spatial data, statistical analyses, report writing and manuscript preparation and provision of administrative support on research-related matters
• Support the development of policy-relevant and multidisciplinary conservation research

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in natural science, climate science, geography, data science, engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
• Proficient with the collecting, processing and analysis of geospatial data.
• Prior experience with causal inference approach is preferred
• Competent in statistical analyses and data visualisation tools.
• Skills with coding/scripting using R and/or Python programming languages.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
