About the role:
The client’s Manufacturing Communications team is looking for a Site Communications Specialist to join their Singapore site within the Manufacturing Division. Key responsibilities include supporting and advising site colleagues/leaders in their communication efforts, enhancing content management and development, utilizing various communication channels, and implementing innovative solutions to engage both “wired” and “non-wired” manufacturing employees. Additionally, the specialist will assist with issues management communications and foster employee engagement across all levels and divisions within the facility.
The Site Communications Specialist will collaborate closely with the Site Communications Lead and work with colleagues across corporate and divisional communications, as well as functional leaders at the site. This position reports directly to the Site Communications Lead of the client’s Manufacturing Division in Singapore.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and implements communication plans, empowering leaders and stakeholders with the information and tools they need to inform and engage their teams.
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive work culture
- Establishes and creates written, verbal, and visual content that:
o Aids employees in understanding enterprise and divisional business goals, as well as site-specific priorities.
o Delivers appropriate messages with the right cadence, channels, and formats (including presentations, talking points, stories, video scripts, and intranet content).
o Tailors content to resonate with the diverse workforce in the manufacturing division, from shop floor colleagues to leaders and champions
- Ensures all materials and content align with the company's branding guidelines and corporate messaging.
- Assist in telling stories to highlight the culture and benefits of working at the organization with prospective and current team members.
- Work with a community of content and subject matter experts across the site to share best practice and identify emerging needs so as to provide editorial stewardship for internal communications and related activities to improved engagement for site colleagues.
- Assist with the creation and presentation of PowerPoint slide decks and other presentation materials for use in meetings and forums.
- Actively seeks feedback regarding communications from stakeholders, sharing insights with communications partners in both the manufacturing division to apply best practices and refine communications tactics.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in internal employee communications.
- A creative problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in digital communication channels.
- Possesses passion, enthusiasm, and a growth mindset to drive results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects successfully.
- A hands-on individual capable of guiding projects from concept to implementation.
