In this role, you will work with a team of passionate media professionals to generate news content for both print and digital platforms of Lianhe Zaobao with a special focus on international news related to the Greater China Region. You will also be involved in content production and management of the different social media channels to reach out to a wider audience.

You are expected to:

• Gather facts and information from verified sources to generate news content for both print and digital platforms;
• Present the information in a clear, concise and interesting way;
• Edit content and keep the Lianhe Zaobao website updated with news and web features;
• Manage various digital platforms and drive audience engagement;
• Monitor social media metrics and data trends for insights to improve our content offering;
• Produce multimedia content such as videos, infographics and long forms.

Requirements

• Degree in Chinese Studies/Mass Communication/Politics and International Studies or relevant fields preferred; Prior experience in media industry as a journalist would be advantageous
• Strong passion in current affairs, with special interest in political, economic and social developments of the Greater China Region
• Proficient in English with strong command of Chinese as this role is for a Chinese publication
• Self-motivated and reliable; able to work independently under tight deadline;
• Experience in video production, image editing and social media management is an advantage

Qualifications:

Job Summary:
