A Project Officer position is currently available in the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS).

The Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) aims to develop, inspire and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences and the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore, and it will transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond.

As part of this programme, the Community Engagement office of the Earth Observatory of Singapore will work across the different research clusters and cross cutting themes to promote the programme and work with communities so they can benefit from its findings and activities.

The Project Officer (Communications and Engagement, Climate Transformation Programme) will be based at the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The incumbent will be part of the EOS Community Engagement office and will work closely with researchers of the CTP.

The Project Officer will create content that engages a broad audience about the research and activities conducted by the CTP, and will communicate the findings and impacts with a range of stakeholders. The incumbent will also help develop and coordinate engagement opportunities that educate stakeholders of the programme about climate change, inspire actions, and contribute to building a community of problem solvers to address climate change. Finally, he/she/they will collect appropriate data to evaluate these different activities.

The position will be key to help build trust with the internal and external stakeholders of the programme, and to ensure the climate solutions developed by the CTP benefit a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather updates and content about the programme, and curate content for various communications and engagement initiatives.
• Craft content, such as long-form stories and content for social media, about the activities and research findings of the programme, in collaboration with the CTP researchers and under the guidance of the EOS Community Engagement Office.
• Create targeted products that communicate results of the programme to relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and the general public, under the supervision of RO.
• Develop and support engagement initiatives associated with the CTP, including meetings and activities conducted with the different stakeholders.

• Manage and curate content, including development of images/ infographics for social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
• Prepare corporate communications material including press releases, speeches, newsletters, scripts, award applications, commentaries and articles.
• Support in the planning, coordination and execution of company events.
• Update and maintain corporate information on digital platforms, including presentations, boiler plates and corporate profile write-ups.
• Assist in the development and support of PacificLight’s corporate outreach programs, including competitions, virtual engagements.
• Liaise with external parties that PacificLight engages with on community outreach programs, including government agencies, education establishments and corporate partners
• Assist in handling internal and external stakeholder queries

Requirements:

• Communications/PR related Degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications.
• Candidate must possess excellent written communication skills, with proven ability to write with clarity for a range of different audiences and mediums
• Excellent organisational ability (meticulous, with eye for detail)
• Knowledge of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) is strongly preferred but not essential
• Resourceful, creative and a fast learner.
• Possess good project and time management, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• An excellent team player who is also able to work independently.

Learning Technologies and Digital Media (LTDM) serves the NTU community by providing end-to-end solutions for teaching and learning, as well as digital media production support.

You will be part of the Creative Services team providing technical and creative support for video, audio, and live events production services.

The role would require past proven experience in executing video productions and the ability to navigate the complexities of working in a diverse and complex event set up to deliver an excellent user experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, setup, operate and tear down equipment for live event production and videography services, such as video cameras, lighting, on-location multichannel sound monitoring & audio recording using lavalier, boom mic, and sound mixer.
• Responsible for the safety, maintenance and inventory control of production equipment and system.
• Display an understanding of pre-production, production, and post-production videography and audio production workflow, including the ability to perform basic video editing, cleaning up and finishing of audio recordings and audio in videos.
• Technical support for all aspects of video and event production and troubleshoot issues when required.

Requirements

• Degree in multimedia related field, preferably with two years of hands-on experience in live event production, studio production, broadcast video production, or any relevant production fields.
• Good knowledge in workflows and techniques for live event production, studio production, broadcast video production, or any relevant production fields.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Avid Pro Tools.
• Ability to serve as tech support for streaming platforms and troubleshoot issues when required.
• Functional photography knowledge with the ability to edit and/or retouch photos is a bonus.
