The Technical Writer is responsible for producing product documentation for industrial automation solutions, which are used
in mission-critical environments such as oil refineries, power plants, and chemical facilities. You will be based in Singapore as part of an established team of technical communication professionals, and he/she will work with stakeholders located in various geographical locations. He/she will be provided with advanced authoring tools,
documentation methodologies, and extensive training.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Communicate and collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the requirements.
- Structure complex information into an organized and logical format.
- Convey complicated ideas into simple instructions for international users.
- Apply topic-based authoring and content architecture techniques to produce easy–to-use manuals.
- Manage and use budgeted time and resources to produce expected results without delays.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Computing (Software Engineering), Computer Science
- Diploma holders with relevant technical writing work experience will also be considered.
- At least 3 years’ experience in writing technical documents or manuals for software or related products.
- Experience in authoring and publishing content for external customers.
- Experience in using more than one of the following tools:
- Adobe Acrobat
- XML authoring tools, including but not limited to Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML and XMetaL Author
- Enterprise
- JIRA
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
- Experience in using a content management system
