• Oversee all aspects of event planning, including vendor liaison and scheduling.

• Coordinate and compile information for the festival microsite.

• Maintain clear and continuous communication with appointed marketing agency, events management vendor, programme partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.

• Address inquiries and ensure all parties are informed of event details and changes.

• Work with events management vendor to manage the logistics pre and actual day of the festival, including venue setup, registration, and vendor coordination.

• Assist with gathering feedback, survey from participants, and help with post-event reporting.

About the Role

As an Assistant Business Editor, you will play a key role in shaping the Straits Times business coverage from the financial hub of Singapore to help audiences understand how these issues relate to their daily lives, jobs and the wider global business community. You will also identify business wire stories that are relevant to the Straits Times audience and to curate such content for the website and the newspaper. You will have an opportunity to contribute to the young audience initiative, HeadSTart, which focuses on delivering content on careers and personal finance through creative avenues including a newsletter, a video series, on social media platforms and at in-person events.

You will work closely with our team of business journalists to tell stories using a variety of formats - from breaking news to long-form interactive features - with a special focus on the economy, finance, investing, stock markets, companies and labour issues. You should be able to provide guidance on story angles, provide value-added analysis and be adept at visual presentation. You will plan and conceptualise ways of covering major news events as well as coordinate with the wider newsroom, such as other desks and audience teams, to achieve the above objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Degree from a recognised university, with at least 6 years of experience in journalism and/or related fields such as finance, manpower and business development.
• Prior experience in a managerial role and a familiarity with editing work will be a plus.
• Well-honed news sense and the ability to make quick, sound editorial decisions.

About the Role

SPH Media’s Content Lab is looking for a Business Planning Manager to optimise and grow our thriving content marketing business. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with content marketing, ability to strategise, identify, and execute business best practices, and should preferably have strong experience in writing and presenting.

Experience in the PR and digital / social marketing industry is highly preferred.

In this role, you will be responsible for improving the positioning of Content Lab in the industry by identifying strategic opportunities and executing them. This includes brokering partnerships with other industry leaders and working extensively with the rest of the commercial team and our communications department.

The Event Manager is responsible for the development, planning and overall operational and execution of meetings, conferences, incentive travel programs and/or special events. The Event Manager works on a variety of projects simultaneously and serves as the day-to-day planning contact for each respective department. The Event Manager is responsible for the day to day internal contact and project planning functions, as well as overseeing such elements as website development, attendee management, budget management and final program billing. Your responsibilities

• Prepare program related Payment Request Forms for suppliers and Invoice Request Forms for invoicing.

• Ensure the timely payment of all supplier/vendor bills and oversee the invoice payment of deposits to ensure payments are received on time.
