Job Description

• REs shall provide standing supervision of all civil and structural works to ensure compliance with the following authorities' requirements:
• The inspection of the bus depot involves the demolition and removal of the existing Pasir Panjang Distripark. Following this, the construction will take place for main depot building, dormitory and administration office.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols
• Supervise and monitoring of contractors’ work to ensure they are carried out in accordance with the provision in the contract document.
• To monitor the progress and assist SRE/QP on structural inspection on all Structural works according to the approved drawings issued.
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters.
• Review and comment on contractor's submissions.

Job Requirements

• The RE shall have minimum three (4) years of experience as a civil engineer; and have least two (2) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contract.
• All RE shall have a diploma in the civil discipline or equivalent and be accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS.

Work During Office hour

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Willing to work on rotation shifts)

Sunday and Public Holiday: 00:00 hours onwards or otherwise advised by project officer depending on LTA’s contractor work schedule.

Qualification & Requirements

• Min 2 years working experience preferable in fabrication environment.
• Familiar with welding works, steel structure, winch, crane and zone rated added advantages
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 QA system
• Software – AutoCAD, Solidworks ,MS Office
• Strong communication skills. English speaking and writing is a must

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the department Manager(s) on project tendering including technical review, sourcing and cost estimating, project scheduling, drawings, procedures and documentation preparation etc.
• Overseeing of project execution as directed by Department manager including contract review (technical), vendors selection, costs evaluation, liaison for internal resources and supports, reply to client technical queries, prepare technical clarifications, plan and supervise project schedule , project execution and implementation, plan and implementation of corrective actions, Factory Acceptance Tests and finalization of as built documentation etc.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce single line diagrams of electrical/instrument system and determine the interface/termination diagrams in accordance with equipment specifications.
• Size cables and breakers LV/MV according to applicable rules and regulations.
• Review all electrical equipment, vendor’s proposals for technical accuracy and constructability
• Prepare material take off for bulk material orders of power and control cables, cable trays and ladders and various ship electrical equipment and systems according to project contract specifications.
• Prepare electrical equipment foundations/supports and room arrangement/layout, lighting layout, power/control cableway plan, power/control cables routing plan and cable schedules.
• Interface, size and design electrical equipment capacity e.g. switchboards, transformers, navigation, PABX, LAN and fire & gas systems, etc.
• Prepare electrical installation construction standard according to IEC/IEEE shipbuilding practice and international standard.
• Coordinate/execute contract specification requirements and production inputs into engineering drawing/document.
• Provide progress reporting and schedule management of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with other production team members, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues onsite which affect the electrical schedule and project deliverables.
• Perform site visits to solve engineering problems when required to determine existing conditions or verify new construction.
• Meet with vendors, client reps, accreditation representatives when required.
• Review and reply to class comments
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in a marine/offshore industry either with shipyards or marine equipment manufacturers and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline or minimum 6 years of experience working in a marine/offshore industry either with shipyards or marine equipment manufacturers.
• Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements.
• Knowledge of Intergraph Software will be an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to utilize advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.

Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.

Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.

Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.

Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
