Job Description

As a Senior/ Infrastructure Engineer, you will assume the responsibility of conceptualising and crafting cloud and infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless integration into diverse on-premise or SaaS environments. Leveraging comprehensive expertise across vertical and horizontal technologies, your focus will be on refining, fortifying, and providing solutions to our clients. This entails overseeing the holistic technical design, encompassing infrastructure elements, integration, connectivity, and hosting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years experience in the design, implementation, and consulting of private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Hands-on experience and robust technical skills with a proven track record in IT infrastructure and/or emerging IT technologies engineering, specifically in Platform, Storage, Virtualisation, and Cloud infrastructure.

• Strong working knowledge and the ability to apply architecture concepts, frameworks, and methodologies to projects.

• Experience in business and technical analysis, architecture design, and project

We are seeking an individual with Structural technical experience for the position of Structural Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd.  The candidate will work directly with the Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

The candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for the steel subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on managing the structural subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected that the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as a structural project engineer on data center projects and/or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field complies with such documents.  The candidate must have robust Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. The candidate will assist with the QA/QC program throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assuring the implementation and compliance with the Quality Assurance System and for scope of work related to mechanical items. 

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed and organized individual with extensive previous experience working as a QA/QC on large, international projects with deep knowledge of mechanical systems. There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work understanding and implementing the VDC QA/QC systems. The candidate must have excellent leadership and Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

The candidate will provide guidance to other team members they interact with and manage daily. The candidate will be expected to know the drawings and specifications and dig into the details to resolve issues.

• Assist with onsite/remote BIM 360 Field training of new Trade Partners / site personnel (iPad and Desktop) and competency with BIM 360 Field to create issues, capture QA/QC related issues, and create checklists.
• Identify issue and close them prior to punch walk and area substantial turnover date, by working with Client and Trade Partner’s QA/QC team

We are seeking an individual with Building Management Systems technical experience for the position of BMS Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will work directly with the BMS Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the MEP Manager and Preconstruction Managers, develop the complete scope of work for assigned trades and ensure that all scope gaps are assigned appropriately
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the MEP scope delineation matrix
• Actively participate in the preconstruction process and subcontractor budgeting progress
• Understand manpower requirements and subcontractor installation units being used to develop pricing
• In conjunction with the subcontractors, develop a monthly cost spend projection for the duration of the project and update monthly to accuracy rates of +/- 5%. Accuracy judged on a quarterly and monthly timetable

• Ensure that managed subcontractor's work is coordinated through design, preconstruction, shop-drawing production, field installation, testing, startup, and commissioning 
• Work with subcontractors to develop and maintain internal schedules and ensure that all proper elements are tracked on a weekly basis
• In conjunction with the OFCI, QAQC and Commissioning managers, develop OFCI equipment delivery sequences, installation procedures, QAQC checklists, startup and commissioning procedures
• Actively participate in all 5 levels of commissioning:
  • Level 1 - Attend select Factory Witness Testing
  • Level 2 - Ensure subcontractor development of equipment receipt and installation procedures.

To do what?

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Testim, Jenkins, Selenium
• Integrate automated tests with the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) system.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand architectural design, and ensure code quality and testability.
• Analyze test results, debug issues and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Advocate for testability during the design phase of new features or system updates.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.
• Perform manual testing when necessary, particularly for complex, large-scale features or systems.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Investigate and use new testing technologies and methodologies to enhance our QA processes.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Mentor junior members of the QA team.

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience as an SDET or similar role. 6+ Experience as a Software Engineer or QA will be considered
• Hands-on experience with in Selenium, Python, RoboCorp, and Jenkins
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Experience in UI Path and Rest Assured are a PLUS
• Solid understanding of SQL and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Description: Senior Data Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our organization's data needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, expertise in various data technologies, and a passion for building robust and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
3. Optimize and tune data pipelines and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
4. Implement data governance processes and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. X+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
4. Strong experience with distributed data storage and processing technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Apache HBase, or similar.
5. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with related services such as AWS EMR, S3, Glue, or Azure Data Factory.
6. Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) as well as NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

To assist the Project Manager/ Site Manager and ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with time schedules

- Supervise and coordinate day to day site works, safety and quality control

- Monitor & coordinate the site works, materials, plant & equipment with site supervisors

- Coordinate with the Sub contractor / MainCon / Consultant / Client for whatever revision on drawings & in actual construction & submit weekly site works progress report.

- Assist in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress

- To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements

- Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution

- To ensure structural work & architectural work done according to the drawing

- To carry out short-term planning to meet site progress and involve in client/consultant/sub-contractor meetings

- Manage and ensure timely completion of construction/ civil works

- Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work

processes, minimise environmental impact associated with the construction activities

[What we are looking for]

- Suitable credentials in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design or an equivalent field.

- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design, machine automation, or related areas.

- Proficiency in utilizing software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

- Expertise in designing mechanical systems, machine components, medical devices and automation solutions, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 13485, etc).

- Knowledge of automation technologies, including PLC programming, robotics, and control systems.

- Familiarity or experience in additive manufacturing, materials science, or 3D printing is considered a valuable advantage.

We are seeking an individual with QA/QC experience in the steel trade for the position of QA/QC Engineer for Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations. The candidate will assist with the QA/QC program throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assuring the implementation and compliance with the Quality Assurance System and for scope of work related to the structural steel items. 

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed and organized individual with extensive previous experience working as a QA/QC on large, international projects with deep knowledge of steel structural systems. There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work understanding and implementing the VDC QA/QC systems. The candidate must have excellent leadership and Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

The candidate will provide guidance to other team members they interact with and manage daily. The candidate will be expected to know the drawings and specifications and dig into the details to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute and share program evolutions and lessons learned with Fortis Construction, Inc. US operations QA/QC Managers
• Represent Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity, and truth
• Comply with Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. anti-graft, non-bribery requirements
• Review approved steel drawings, and ensure compliance with the construction specifications
• Coordinate with Project Engineers for technical assistance, generating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Client-requested quality observations, and project closeout
• Work together with the contractors to properly document the quality process, tracking and final turnover
• Run the weekly QA/QC Meetings, drive open CSA quality issues to closure, keep meeting minutes and document for future reference together with subcontractors
• Play a proactive role with field inspections, together with the subcontractors and the Client in developing pre-test plans prior to contractual testing and stay ahead of normally scheduled inspections with the authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Assist the contractor in resolution of known issues and lessons learned from other sites
• Assist with onsite/remote BIM 360 Field training of new Trade Partners / site personnel (iPad and Desktop) and competency with BIM 360 Field to create issues, capture QA/QC related issues, and create checklists.
• Identify issue and close them prior to punch walk and area substantial turnover date, by working with Client and Trade Partner’s QA/QC team
• Establish a great relationship with the Client, Trade Partner and local AHJ
