Key Responsibilities:

• Managing external electrical subcontractors to ensure that works are in compliance with class, drawings, installation procedures and quality processes.
• Reviewing and proposing to management the most suitable electrical and electronics equipment for newbuild vessels.
• Managing troubleshooting processes and root-cause analyses.
• Checking calculations and drawings for electrical and electronics systems and interfaces.
• Overseeing project documentation and liaising with class, regulators and clients.

Basic Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong, knowledgeable and results-driven leader.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in aluminium high-speed vessels.
• Sailing experience in an engineer’s capacity would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge in programming, automation and PLC would be an advantage.
• Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in relevant Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project.

Job Description

• Carry out works scheduling, material requisition, cost control, site supervision and documentation.
• To supervise the site works and coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters
• Ensure timely and smooth progress of works.
• To perform QA / QC role on area assigned and to ensure safety regulations are being compiled on site.
• Prepare various reports & RA (progress report, project handover report and etc.).
• Any other duties that may be assigned.
• To ensure quality of works is achieved and safety & environmental regulations are complied with
• To ensure project activities complied with the Company’s ISO system

• 2 years of relevant experience or fresh University/Poly/ITE graduate

• Prepare construction drawings (2D Structure drawings, bending template, profile nesting,plate nesting and material list) utilizing AVEVA Marine Drafting
• Modelling of Equipment and Outfitting in AVEVA
• Extraction of Outfitting General Arrangement form AVEVA
• Prepare a wide range of engineering related documents such as plot plans, Key plan
• Extraction of Piping layoutand Piping General Arrangement from AVEVA
• Etraction of Isometric drawing with MTO and Line list
• Data consistency and Clash checking in AVEVA
• Prepare support drawings
• Checking the piping and oyther discipline documents as per shipyard payment
• Perform 3D Modelling of Electrical equipment and cable tray/ladder, supports and instruments in AVEVA
• Preparation of 2D deliverables (lighting layout, wiring diagram, equipment layout, interconnection diagram, cable tray/ladder layout, cable tray/ladder fill report and MCT layout)
