The SMU Urban Institute, launched in early 2024, is a university-level research institute dedicated to advancing an interdisciplinary research agenda. • Refit an existing large-scale taxi/ride-hailing simulator using latest street topology.
• Process large datasets from LTA and Gojek to prepare for simulation calibration.
• Design an automated process to calibrate the simulation model, so that it is consistent with real-world data.

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or a related computing focused discipline is required.
• Previous research experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent coding ability and experience in Python or Java is essential.
• Coursework in data structures and algorithms, probability and statistics.
• Experience with geospatial data analytics is a big plus.
