The incumbent is responsible to support the SVP in Business Development to provide commercial and technical support, covering all technical and business areas in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) Group, in order to shape up customer needs.
He/she is required to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders (such as customer, investor, insurer, vendor and MHI Group) to achieve successful results to support the achievement of MHI medium term business plan.
He/she is also responsible for supporting all Business Units in MHI-AP in collaborating with each Business Domain and SBUs in MHI Group to expand business growth areas in the Asia Pacific region; provide leadership in the business development activities for the energy transition solutions (such as power plant, CO2 capture, CO2 utilization technologies, biomass, engines, fuel cells and Liquefied CO2 & Ammonia vessels), New Mobility & Logistics business.

Business Development & BU Business Support
- Provide commercial and technical support in order to shape up customer needs.
- Collaboration with global solution business projects in which Global HQ will invest capital, as a regional liaison
- Understand customer needs from technical point of view, provide concrete proposal;
- Conduct investigation and analysis for the technical development against competing companies;
- Conduct investigation and discussion for the promising partner companies in AP region;
- Preparation of presentation materials targeted for the specific projects
- Oversee and support all Business Units in MHI-AP, collaborating with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) in MHI Headquarters
- ·Reporting & Sharing of information to formulate winning strategy
- Sourcing of new technology that MHI GHQ holds
- To deliver the initial project scheme & structure
- Strategic Interface & negotiation critical to the success of a deal
- To create project realization path ways
Job requirement
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years working experience in a Plant and/or Engineering Industry
- Japanese Language proficiency of JLPT N1 or equivalent is mandatory as this role requires the incumbent to communicate with Japanese internal counterparts and external suppliers on a daily basis
- Good business acumen with proven business development track records
- Knowledge of project management and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) works
- Technical presentation skill with value engineering methodology
