Job Summary:
The Production Lead Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production process of chemical products within the organization. This role requires a strong background in chemical engineering, production management, and quality control, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of chemical products while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the overall production process, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources to ensure timely and efficient production of chemical products.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all produced chemical products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives to maximize production output and minimize waste.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, including training, mentoring, and performance management, to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all production personnel and to prevent accidents or incidents.
• Oversee inventory levels and ensure that raw materials and finished products are efficiently managed to meet production demands and minimize excess inventory.
• Analyse and resolve any production-related issues or challenges, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, including standard operating procedures, production reports, and quality control records, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Monitor production costs and implement strategies to optimize production expenses while maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production engineering, and integrate relevant knowledge to enhance production processes and overall efficiency.
• Develop detailed project plans for the implementation of cultural change initiatives, ensuring alignment with data-driven insights.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by collecting feedback, iterating on strategies, and adapting cultural change initiatives based on ongoing data analysis.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the chemical industry, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control systems.
• Proven leadership experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Thorough knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to chemical production processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment

Job Description:

· Troubleshoot and rectify any technical issues that arise during the manufacturing processes.

· Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure their efficient and adherence to quality standards.

· Collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee and execute the specified goals, operational performance, process efficiency, and KPIs within the manufacturing processes.

· Monitor the Overall Equipment Effectiveness throughout the manufacturing processes to improve and optimise its operational performance.

· Examine essential operational metrics, conduct data analysis, and identify issues and opportunities for enhancement within the manufacturing processes.

· Continuously enhance manufacturing processes to achieve optimal cost-efficiency, quality, and reduced delivery lead times.

· Responsible for the design of automation process equipment, integration of platform equipment, and establishment of interfaces with operational and equipment platform systems. This includes control and monitoring logic, spanning both basic and detailed design phases.

· Liaise with various stakeholders, including Production, Quality, Engineering, IT owners, and vendors, to efficiently reduce downtime and enhance throughput.

· Initiate project management procedures which include cost, quality, scope, and schedule to guarantee timely delivery.

· Uphold a safe work environment by diligently enforcing safety rules and regulations across all work areas.

Requirement

· Min. Diploma or Degree in related Engineering fields

· Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically with automation processes.

· Possess excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.

· Proactively dedicated to implementing innovative solutions for task completion.

· In-depth knowledge of GMP and the pharmaceutical industrial.

· Knowledge in safety systems and adept at enforcing safety rules and policies.
