About the Office for Space Technology & Industry
The Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) is Singapore’s national space office. To build up Singapore’s space ecosystem and advance Singapore’s space interests, OSTIn seeks to:
• Nurture the build-up of local space technology capabilities through investments in R&D;
• Grow a globally competitive local space industry;
• Develop policies and regulations to support Singapore’s space activities;
• Expand bilateral and multilateral partnerships, and contribute to strengthening the international governance regime for space activities; and
• Support the development of talent for Singapore’s space sector and future workforce.
You will be part of OSTIn’s International Relations team, which builds partnerships with foreign countries in the space domain. You will support the building of bilateral relationships through government-to-government engagements with foreign space agencies and relevant space-related government organisations. You will also support Singapore’s participation in regional and multilateral fora on space matters.
[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and executing plans to engage foreign space agencies, relevant foreign government entities and international organisations to pursue commercial, scientific/technical and policy cooperation
• Develop in-depth knowledge of and advancing Singapore’s interests on space matters bilaterally and at multilateral fora, to effectively engage and build relationships with other countries and international organisations
• Strategising, advancing and safeguarding Singapore’s positions at relevant regional and multilateral space fora, including the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS) and ASEAN Sub-committee of Space Technology and Applications (SCOSA)
• Organising official visits and international events, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, sourcing for vendors and preparing discussion topics
• Conceptualising and driving international collaboration projects
• Working across our Industry, Technology and Policy teams to understand OSTIn’s interest areas, and supporting the respective teams’ partnership objectives and development initiatives
• Supporting the Policy team in developing Singapore’s policy positions on international space issues
• Independently research and prepare briefs on countries and international organisations of interest to OSTIn, including their respective policy positions and developments.

- Background in any disciplines, preferably political science, international policy, law, history, economics, engineering or mass communications
- Keen interest in international relations and space technologies
- Able to navigate relationships across cultures
- Excellent writing, analytical and communications skills
- A self-starter, team player, independent and resourceful
- Singaporean
