Who are you?
We’re looking for a Singapore-based Senior Business Development Director to lead this work, by providing insights-driven media and measurement strategies, strengthening client & partner agency relationships, collaborating with cross-departmental teams, while growing and mentoring the media team!

Your EXPERTISE
- Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy specific to the APAC region, with a focus on creative advertising and media solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion, including emerging digital advertising channels, programmatic advertising, and data-driven media.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with major brands, agencies, and media partners across the region.
- New Business Acquisition & Revenue Generation:
- Identify, target, and secure new business in line with revenue targets, driving growth through strategic pitches and account management.
- Lead high-value sales negotiations with potential clients, focusing on both traditional advertising and digital media.
- Monitor and deliver on sales forecasts, ensuring business objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Partnership Development & Strategic Alliances:
- Develop and manage key partnerships with media outlets, technology platforms, agencies, and other stakeholders to create game-changing alliances that push us forward.
- Explore new collaborative opportunities and joint ventures that can drive growth for VaynerMedia in the APAC region.
- Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier partners, ensuring successful contract negotiations and long-term business relationships.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams including creative, product, strategy, operations, and data analytics to align business development strategies with the company’s offerings and capabilities.
- Coordinate with the regional leadership team to integrate business development goals with broader organizational objectives.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across the APAC region.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven and people first culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the advertising and marketing landscape in the APAC region.
- Provide actionable insights and feedback to senior leadership, ensuring the company stays ahead of the curve in a fast-evolving market.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on business development performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- You have experience across both traditional and digital media landscapes, collaborating across teams that include creative, media, planning, analytics, and strategy in the APAC region
- You have a minimum of 8+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of driving impactful, creative, and large scale digital media programs that produce tangible business outcomes.
- You know the APAC market inside and out, with an established network of brands, media pros, and industry insiders.
- You’re not just about the numbers; you’re a master storyteller with excellent written and presentation skills.
- You have proven output rooted in highly strategic thinking that leveraged unique insights to drive disproportionate success.
- You have examples of leaning into new/emerging platform opportunities to drive creative and media innovation.
- You’ve experienced leading and managing teams of at least 6-8 individuals (cross-disciplinary a plus)
- You have an infectious smile, an upbeat demeanor, and warm personality that contributes to an already strong company culture
- You are comfortable with a fast-paced environment; and working as an integrated team (across creative, media, and strategy)
- Professional English skills are required, and additional language proficiencies are a huge plus!
