The Student Development specialist will play a crucial role in supporting both our signature Singapore competitions and the operations when the students participating in our competitions. This role requires a blend of planning, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to educational enrichment. The ideal candidate will not only deliver exceptional service to parents and students but also provide invaluable support to ensure their success in our competitions.
Competition Supports:
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support all aspects of competitions, from venue management to program scheduling and participant engagement. Plan, design, and produce events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits.
- Identify and support the Singapore students/schools/parents needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure smooth operations of Singapore competitions with the candidates and schools.
- Propose ideas to improve services and competitions quality.
- Work closely with the event management team to organize facilities and manage all event details such as contest and award ceremony venue, invigilators, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc.
- Cooperate with the different teams to promote and publicize the competitions to the students and schools.
- Manage the Singapore team together with the Singapore country manager during major competitions such as SIMOC and STEAM AHEAD.
Parents, students and schools support:
- Responding to all competitions-related queries received via email, phone, live chat and any other channels.
- Capture and qualify parents' and schools' inquiries, make appointments, liaise with different parties to ensure students have a successful experience with the competitions
- Support direct applications from the office walk-in, online and agent channels.
- Ensure that all Missed Calls are followed up and attended to in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
- Support schools, participants and parents on competition rules, registration processes, and any queries they may have.
- Regularly update and communicate with schools, students and parents on any changes or enhancements to competition guidelines and processes.
- Address inquiries and concerns from Singapore schools, parents and students, ensuring their experiences with our competitions are positive and enriching.
- Foster relationships with educational institutions and stakeholders in Singapore to promote participation and engagement in our events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Event Management, Education, or related fields.
Experience in school administration management and/or educational program management is an advantage
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and mandarin.
Willingness to travel internationally to support our global partners and events once a year.
