ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the provision of network integration activities for the respective project and/or bid activity. The Engineer is a key member of the Hardware Deployment & Integration team that provides:

• Technical and resource supervisory input to Network Integration and Deployment engineering activities

• Skilled input to the Network Integration and Deployment activities within the respective project engineering segment, and

• Assistance to the Integration Group for bid response activities.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sr. Network Engineer, you are accountable for:

For Projects:

· Revise solution architecture drawings and diagrams, cost templates (devis), the List of Supply (LOS) / Bill of Materials (BOM), and interfaces at the start of the project.

· Create and/or update network integration engineer contributions to the Solution Specification and Design documentation, Network Acceptance Test Procedures, and other associated network integration documents.

· Define equipment configuration for the ATM solution(s) and coordinate with Hardware Deployment and Integration management for assembly of the ATM system and interface with Tools Engineering, Customer Service and Site Services departments where necessary to accomplish this task.

· Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration in the factory and on customer sites.

· Support configuration changes to system platforms in factory and customer sites.

· Attend Design Reviews with customers.

· Provide customer training.

· Identify risks at solution architecture level and propose where possible alternate validated solutions.

· Provide system and networking expertise useful in the design.

· Follow and contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes

· For Bids / Tenders:

· Creation and Peer Review system architecture diagrams.

· Creation of the List of Supply (LOS) / Bill of Materials (BOM)

· Creation of Hardware Integration section in the Engineering Department devis.

· Definition of system interfaces.

Skills and Competencies Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Research and Development, with a strong background in thin-film deposition, material science, and semiconductor manufacturing. Experience in the mask blank industry is highly desirable.
• Expertise in thin-film deposition techniques (e.g., sputtering, CVD), material characterization methods (e.g., SEM, TEM, XPS, AFM), and process optimization. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation is required.
• Experience demonstrating statistical skills in data analysis. Knowledge of JMP, Minitab, DOE, and SPC is preferred.

About The Role

The incumbent will be working in the Diphenyl Carbonate (DPC-500 tons/annum) Demo unit at Shell Jurong Island.

DPC is an intermediate used in the production of polycarbonate, and the Shell process offers firm improvements over competing processes.

Poly Carbonate development unit, unique downscaled unit, it will run on DPC produced from concurrent operation of our existing DPC demo unit and operate the combined DPC/PC Development Unit until 2027.

• Operating process units within the Production Unit in accordance with the Production Plan and Daily Operating Procedures, Standing Instructions, and site HSSE procedures.
• Operating the plant within the Design-Operating-Window and the Integrity-Operating-Window.
• Perform structured rounds (DCS Panel/Field) and take corrective action to maintain equipment and plant operations within safe operating windows.
• Managing plant and equipment upsets, abnormal conditions and subsequent troubleshooting including incidents/plant emergencies and subsequent follow-up.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform unit start-up, shutdown and plant turnaround activities
• Update operating procedures and prepare job pack documentation for equipment repair
• Keeping log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shifts
• Perform the role of Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) which includes conduct gas testing, zero energy check, issuance of permits for safe execution of maintenance tasks and turnaround activities
• Perform sampling work and basic laboratory tests
• Perform the role of Auxiliary Fire Fighter or First Aider in the event of emergency situations as per SJI policy
• Able to operate DCS independently
• Must be willing to perform over-time duties when required by the company
• An effective team player with good communication skills and follows punctuality
• Participate in the Procedure preparation and Review Team to improve and update critical operating procedures of the Department.
• Executing the Ensure Safe Production working principles ensuring quality in Shift Team’s performance in SHO, SOSO, SSS, Alarm Management, Intelatrac rounds, Operator Proactive Monitoring, etc
• Conduct proactive monitoring of the PC dev plant machinery
• Assist in troubleshooting of process related issues and support higher level investigations where required
• Provide stand–in for Production Team leader when necessary
• Any other works instructed by the PTL

Qualifications Required

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or related or Diploma, in Chemical Engineering / Chemical & Green Technology / Clean Energy
• 3 or more years of relevant experience in chemical processing or oil refining / utilities e.g. steam boilers and Cogeneration for Process Units.
• Experience in DPC/PC operation is an advantage
• Possess high level of motivation, enthusiasm, drive and creativity
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Demonstrate strong Enterprise First mindset and be a good team worker
• Have a sound understanding of unit operation, safety and unit optimization.
