About The Role
This is a 12-month contract role.
Job Responsibilities
• Primary focal point within the Singapore-based Owner’s FEED (front end engineering development) team for managing interfaces, and identifying opportunities for cost and schedule improvement.
• Attend and contribute to FPSO (Floating production storage offloading) discipline reviews to advocate on behalf of overall system considerations, ensuring alignment with the integrated project development, operability reviews and regulatory requirements.
• Lead interface coordination meetings for the FPSO team in Singapore, identifying critical FPSO interface issues across engineering, procurement, operations, and construction, and bringing in discipling engineering resources when required.
• Presentation preparations and progress updates for stakeholders on FEED progress, especially around FPSO cost, weight, and schedule
• Responsible for documenting key FPSO-driven decisions in FEED, including decision quality analysis where required.
• Collecting and consolidating appropriate benchmarking data and reporting results
• Promoting the project, milestones and achievements and personnel recognition through a multi-faceted internal and external approach (posters, video, Shell articles, etc.)
• Providing ad-hoc support with project management and venture integration issues.
Job Requirements
• Masters or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably with a Chemical or Process Background) with 8+ years of related experience
• Experience in project delivery, front-end engineering, and systems/interface engineering preferred.
• Skilled on Shell project controls & tools and ability to immeditaly delivery through it. Experience in project delivery, front-end engineering, and systems/interface engineering preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills/demonstrated ability to work within and lead multi-disciplined/multi-cultural teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including functional requirements identification, management, verification, and validation.
• Deep understanding of Deepwater FPSO (Floating production storage offloading) and Subsea developments – with close connections to Centers of expertise in Deepwater
• Commercial acumen, demonstrated capability to interface with contractor team balancing technical and commercial requirements
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries.
