• Engage and manage external design consultants, run design workshops to ensure they deliver a design to meet the requirements of the Basis of Design (BOD).
• Collaboration with Global Technical Excellence team, Global Strategy team and DC Operations teams to develop datacenter designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue For Construction (IFC) and through the Construction Administration phase of the datacenter until handover for new project build outs.
• Interface closely with the procurement team, the manufacturers, and the global and local engineering teams to deliver the mechanical solutions needed for each project.
• Assisting Operations teams with mechanical system solutioning and working with Operations and equipment vendors for implementation as well as assisting in commissioning activities to validate performance, quality, and reliability.
• Some travel to sites for “Factory Witness Testing”, consultant/vendor interaction in the design process, as well as for final commissioning of the installed systems.
• Collaboration with internal and external customers, lead the direction of the mechanical designs and oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete datacenter design solutions aligned with scopes, schedule and budgets of the projects.
• Supporting requests, liaise with customers to develop specific project design requirements, liaise and collaborate with other Microsoft engineering teams and Operations providing support as and when required for new and existing datacenters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related technical engineering experienceOR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience OR Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
• Related technical experience in consulting engineering / construction / operation which involves design, engineering, construction, operation or maintenance of large scale and complex mission-critical mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fuel Oil, BAS) systems
• Technical understanding of mission critical environments.
• Strong experience with the operation and maintenance of building cooling and related mechanical systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, DX Refrigerant, Evaporative, and related controls systems)
• Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and documents is essential.
• Familiarity with CFD modelling
• Sound knowledge of building codes and regulations.

Network Operations

1. Manages the set-up and coordination of TV transmission traffic in real time.

2. Acts as the first level support, and point of contact, for equipment, and the broadcast network.

3. Fully responsible for operating Eurovision's satellite, fibre and IP network.

4. Oversees the quality of transmission signals and reports to the Senior Network Operations Engineer.

5. Detect and correct any anomalies or faults in transmissions.

6. Allocates resources and services to customer on a short notice basis.

7. Reports faults/modifications on equipment in the Eurovision Control room, or at any important technical point across the network.

8. Takes the temporary measures required in order to ensure the continuity of service.

As a Service Engineer, you have to attend to equipment fault at customers’ premises. Liaise with the customer and sub-contractors regarding all aspect on the add-on project activities. You should possess a Diploma in Electronics and/or Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years’ hands-on experience in troubleshooting of card access systems, alarm systems, CCTV, etc. With good interpersonal communication skills and a valid Class 3 license. Stand-by duty is required.
