We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of innovation and excellence. As a Junior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning across different facilities, collaborating with experienced professionals and utilizing the latest technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with comprehensive project planning and effective management, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with technical and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate closely with main contractors and consultants, diligently tracking work progress and adherence to the project schedule, ensuring engineering specifications and standards are met.
• Facilitate communication with subcontractors and suppliers, meticulously preparing all project costs, processing claims, and monitoring budgets to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with engineering requirements.
• Attend site meetings and perform detailed site inspections to ensure project milestones are met and technical standards are upheld.
• Oversee the daily activities of subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to job site safety policies and procedures, with a focus on engineering safety standards.
• Monitor and inspect work progress, maintaining rigorous quality control and assurance standards, promptly addressing any engineering issues that arise.
• Work closely with the team to meet all requirements and expectations during testing and commissioning with consultants, ensuring successful project outcomes that meet engineering criteria.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are achieved without compromising safety or quality.
• Aid the Project Manager and team in the efficient closure of projects, including the handover process, OMM, and as-built documentation submission, ensuring all engineering documentation is accurate and complete.
• Ensure the proper upkeep of documents and efficiently upload them to the server for organized record-keeping, maintaining the integrity of all engineering records.
• Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.

Job Description

• Prepare and review Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) Works specifications.
• Assist the ICA Lead and manage the engineering design works for the Control System Architecture, Data Communication Networks, Functional Design Specification (FDS), Process Control Narrative (PCN) and Process Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Programmable Logic Controller /Distributed Control System (PLC/DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and any other ICA Works as required.
• Handle equipment package and procurement including technical specifications preparation, technical clarification, technical bid analysis, etc.
• Collaboration with multiple stakeholders including internal teams of different trades, clients, consultants, other packages contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure success of the project.
• Prepare, review and liaison with subcontractor(s) in the design and submission, ensuring all project specifications and design standards are met.
• Work with cross function project team to support project activities, i.e. schedule, process, progress claims, work progress, etc.
• Manage and supervise the project execution, site installation, inspection, testing and commissioning, plant proving related to Instrumentation, Control and automation system and interface works with other disciplines and all stakeholders.
• Attend to clients’ comments and ensure clients’ approval & acceptance to all ICA related design, installation and Testing & Commissioning Works.
• Resolve the site technical related matters.

Design, Engineering, FAT, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of:-

• System Control PLC/DCS and SCADA.
• Input / Output list
• Data Communication Network and ICA Panels.
• Instruments.
• FAT and SAT of Interfacing Panels, Instruments, Pumps, etc.
• Cable Support System.
• Cabling & Termination Works.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Advanced Diploma in Process Control and Instrumentation.
• Experience in Selection, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Instrumentation.
• Experience in ICA engineering Works, preferably in water/wastewater projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Programming of PLC/DCS and SCADA.
• Experience in Project Execution, Supervising and Coordination with subcontractors, consultant and Client.
• Good knowledge in Microstation/Autocad software.
• Good technical understanding and experience in water, wastewater and environmental engineering works.
• Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of ICA Works.
• Able to work in the Tuas South area, in Singapore.
