The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team builds and manages the foundational blocks of ClickHouse Cloud data plane end-to-end. This includes compute, networking, security, and a multi-cloud, multi-region architecture that provides a reliable and scalable managed ClickHouse

experience for ClickHouse Cloud customers. Our team is looking for highly skilled and experienced cloud infrastructure software engineers to join our team, who will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our infrastructure.

What will you do?

● Architect and build a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

● Build a cutting-edge cloud-native platform on top of the public cloud, and automate our cloud resource management.

● Work closely with our ClickHouse core database development team, and security team and partner with them to produce the SAS offering.

● Work on routing and traffic components to improve the reliability and scalability of our cloud service.

● Systematically improve availability by applying industry and distributed systems best practices.

● Design and build security components & tooling: firewall, PKI and certificate infra, zero trust network, etc.

● Improve performance and cost efficiency of our infrastructure.

About you:

● You have 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and

operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

● Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or similar.

● Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

● Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.

● Experience developing cloud native edge or service mesh services, preferably with envoy and Istio.

● Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.

● Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles, such as VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.

● Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards like SOC2 and GDPR.

● You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams.

● You are a strong problem solver and have solid production debugging skills.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior Production Engineers in managing a production team that includes:

• Resources are used efficiently.
• Co-ordinating between other teams like Planning, Quality Control and other departments
• Ensure all the works to be carried out in a safe manner with proper methods, tools etc.
• Ensure production and safety SOP are being followed correctly.
• Meet customer’s requirements that include:

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering from recognised University.

1. Focus on assisting Service Sales Manager in managing all existing & Non-SSA accounts.
2. Focus on maintaining current installed base by renewing existing maintenance contracts.
3. To influence our customers on the importance of after-sales service coverage. Should possess superior negotiation skills and a Will-to-Win mindset.
4. Create clients’ automation needs based on clients’ business operations’ models. – Assist Service Sales Manager in submission of competitive price proposals/tenders (open & close) on clients’ projects.
5. Co-ordinate between clients, contractors, subcontractors and in-house engineering staff on projects.
6. Regularly prepare and/or assist to prepare proposals and presentations to push retrofitting and upgrading projects to generate additional revenue.
7. Assist to Liaise between project and testing & commissioning teams to ensure costings are accurate.
8. Assist to Liaise between team leads and tier 2 support teams from both pharmacy and transport automation arms for finalisation of bill of materials, costing sheets and approach to tenders/quotations/upgrade.
9. Work directly with Service Sales Manager, head of customer care and director of pharmacy automation to prepare competitive quotations and proposals – assist to prepare risk reviews to upper management to determine potential risks and mitigating factors to finalise selling prices.
10. Closely monitoring current sales leads and following up closely to ensure accuracy of sales funnel - regularly communicate with customers to ensure that all needs are met, if needs are not met, identify potential opportunities to generate more revenue.
11. Assist to Identify sites with the potential of competitor displacement, strategise with relevant management teams to create value adding solutions to customers - ensure that current maintenance agreements are profitable.
