The Senior Data Engineer will work on acquiring, storing, governing and processing huge sets of structured / unstructured data. The Principal Data Engineer position is a part of the Global IT Department, which is directly overseen by the Group’s CIO. Our team currently comprises over 60 IT, software, and data professionals primarily based in Shanghai and Moerdijk (the Netherlands). Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sr. Manager of Data Management & Operations in shaping both short- and long-term data strategy at a global level.
• Take ownership of our Azure ETL pipeline and data warehouse (ADF/DBT/Apache Airflow/AKS) from design to implementation to maintenance
• Assist in the maintenance of an existing on-prem data infrastructure (SSIS/SQL Server) while we complete our migration to the cloud
• Design, architect, and lead the implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines, data schemas/models, and data marts for business users.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years of experience as a senior/lead data engineer
• 3+ year of experience with Agile/DevOps tools (Git, Jira).
• 2+ years of experience with Azure data infrastructure (e.g. ADF, DBT, AKS, IaC).
• Deeply knowledgeable of data warehousing best practices, especially in the Azure cloud environment, with a strong commitment to staying current with industry trends and future advancements.
