• Install, troubleshoot, repair & service of laser machine.

We are experiencing tremendous growth and have an immediate need for a self-motivated Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support for our customers and prospects in Singapore.

The Systems Engineer is a critical component of the Arista Sales team. The main responsibility of the Systems Engineer is acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and prospects to identify opportunities, gather requirements and design creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You will partner with the Arista Account Managers to understand customer pain points and conduct white board network architectural reviews in addition to conducting Arista product presentations of Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wifi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), Endpoint Security and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions.
• You will architect, design and propose Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VXLAN, EVPN) and network overlays to capture additional sales.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and network deployments using new products and features.
• Put together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they supported.
• Partner with Sales Team to respond to RFP/RFQs.
• Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
• Represent Arista at SDN and Open Networking industry events and conferences.
• Keep up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and services.
• Author white papers on technology and products.

A Systems Engineer (Solutions)interfaces with customers and identifies their needs. A Systems Engineer (Solutions)with then work with various departments from network engineers, support and operations to ensure a plan is in motion to improve the customer's experience. A Systems Engineer (Solutions)works to balance various aspects of the project, from safety to design. Additionally, a Systems Engineer (Solutions)researches advanced technology regarding best practices in the field and seek to find cost-effective solutions.

Performs a subset of the system engineering activities required to develop a solution or product.

Analyses the customer’s and other stakeholders’ needs whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, …)

- Describes the missions, functions and requirements on the sub-system

- Formalises the specification and the architectural design to develop the sub-system

- Prepares and performs the solution or product integration, verification and validation tests.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As aSystem Engineer, you are accountable to:

• Perform the engineering requirements analysis
• Provides required technical documentation:
• Design Documents (Preliminary, Final)
• Statement of Works for suppliers and external contractors
• Input/output requirement for Interfaces Management
• Input for specialty engineering: RAMS, EMC/EMI, Cyber-Security.
• Input for Installation Management
• Operation and Maintenance documentation
• Training material
• Assists the bid team to scope and cost engineering work packages
• Work with contractors to produce costing, ensure that they deliver on time
• Reports and follow-up the KPIs for the sub-system
• Participate to progress meetings
• Analyse and Correct the Problem Changes Requests

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline (essential)
• Higher degree qualifications are desirable.
• Demonstrated engineering competencies required for qualification to INCOSE CSEP (or equivalent, or ASEP) are highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Engineering role
• Able to decipher technical scope from high level requirements
• Experience with Governmental and/or complex IT Projects
• Strong oral and written communications skills.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience working on Software Security projects
• Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Knowledge of Thales Products and Processes
• Membership of relevant professional organisation, e.g. INCOSE, Institution of Engineers Singapore, etc.
