Responsibilities

• Assist with technical tasks such as troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment.
• Responsible for researching new technologies, equipment, or products to support the company's goals.
• Responsible for recording data from equipment tests or experiments, which may include inputting data into spreadsheets or databases.
• Responsible for assisting with equipment maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, or other routine maintenance tasks.
• Assigned to support project teams, assisting with project planning, testing, and documentation.
• Learn and develop their technical skills and knowledge throughout their internship, which could include attending training sessions or workshops.

Requirements

• Interns interested in this position should hold relevant certifications in Marine Engineering or a related discipline (NITEC/Diploma/Degree)
• Regular working hours are 8:30-17:30

Job Description:

• Able to implement approved patches/releases deployment accordingly to Change Request
• Able to maintain network and system security included cybersecurity advisories
• Able to perform installation and configuration of systems and application software
• Able to perform scheduled maintenance for servers, workstations, switches, routers, networks appliances in UAT, DR and Production Environment
• Able to perform server patch management
• Able to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software related issue
• Diagnose and troubleshoot VSAT system symptoms and information with computer software and test equipment
• Interpret troubleshooting results and determine best course of action to restore VSAT system
• Install new VSAT equipment and upgrade components or systems, preferably with C-band and Extended C-band equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance for VSAT system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experienced with IT maintenance and support.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT field, with background in IT maintenance and support
• Familiar with Symantec EndPoint Protection, Windows Server, RHEL 7, MSSQL Server, VMWare ESXi 6.7
• Familiar with SendQuick or other SMS gateways, SOPHOs or other email forwarding application
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting switched and routed networks
• Knowledge of basic Linux commands will be preferred
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Required to perform 24/7 offsite standby duty (bi-weekly engineering support)

· Station at construction site

· Overall project planning, scheduling, monitoring and updating to meet project completion targets.

· Proficiency in English and Mandarin is mandatory to liaise with Mandarin speaking Customers and Colleagues

· Able to communicate and liaise well with main con and RTO / RE

· Handling technical and engineering issues.

· Liaison and meeting with client's representatives, relevant authorities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Proficient in Autocad
