As a Sr. Integration Engineer, you are accountable for:

· Conduct the successful integration and the test of incremental software releases for systems and/or subsystems, in accordance with the schedule set by the Technical Leads and WPM

· Manage and/or contribute to the setup of environments to facilitate the integration, testing and acceptance activities required by the program. Provide instruction on the setup of environments to support validation activities.

· Define and/or contribute to testing activities across multiple platforms (regression, interface, simulation scenarios and test tools) to support project milestones and deadlines

· Able to analyse System/Subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are identified early, captured fully and logged according to internal processes.

· To collaborate with System, Subsystem and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specifications

· Output documentation and engineering artefacts (E.g. System Integration Test Documentation) with the expected level of compliance (functional, performance, robustness, security and quality) that are aligned with internal configuration management processes.

· Produce scripts in order to automate system administration tasks.

· Manage and/or implement test & measuring tools used for system performance, loading and response-time assessment

· Provide technical support to junior integrators and the V&V teams

· Support Technical Leads and WPM through:

o Making recommendations on strategies to improve performance or productivity

o Identify risks, and proposing effective solution early and executing mitigation actions

o Providing input into the planning and coordination of program integration activities

· Work directly with the customer and internal integration training (as required)

· Identify risks, and propose effective solutions; execute mitigation actions and report on outcomes / cost savings and residual risks

· Authoring and/or reviewing documentation and documentation updates

· Promote knowledge sharing ensuring that work is captured sufficiently for re-use across projects

· Following Thales processes and practises and contribute to their improvement

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Qualifications

· Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or relevant experience

Essential Experience

· 5 years minimum experience holding similar positions integrating complex software-centric real-time systems

· Ability to understand the structure of and troubleshoot Virtualisation Platforms/Operating Systems (Clients/Servers): 3+ years

o Linux/Unix Operating Systems, SNMP Services, RSYSLOG

o Windows Operating systems

o VMWare

• Scripting: Python, Shell, XML: 3+ years

· DevOps and Automation Tools: Ansible, Jenkins

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance and daily operations of the DC facilities with the objective of achieving uninterrupted availability at all times and to ensure the fulfillment of our service commitment to customers.
• Support service delivery to ensure contracted service level agreements and key performance indicators are met or exceeded.
• Perform routine facilities activities including inventory control. Critical systems checks and functional testing. Able to respond and take action in response to facilities crisis management activities including: power outages, fire alarms, HVAC outages. Analyze data and identify trends with facility issues to determine root cause and take appropriate action.
• Respond to BMS/EMS alerts, investigate and feedback on any outstanding issues or events and respond to emergency situations and be on standby duty as required.
• Provide technical support to all aspects of data center operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 data center operation to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
• Assist in all site construction activities and installations, in coordination with external contractors to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards. Witness testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate sequence of operations and receipt of all operational documentation.
• Support for customer installations, in coordination with the design & construction as well as operations requirements to coordinate customer move-in and turn-on, and other service request & deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health (WHS) standards and local electrical and building codes.
• Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOP), method of procedures (MOP), and emergency response procedures (ERP) established for the critical environments, as well as the formal change control process.
• Participate in the scheduling, coordination and completion all significant planned and emergency maintenance events for the facility and ensure these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method to ensure the reliability of the critical loads supported by these systems.
• Support various accreditation, certification and compliance initiatives such as BCA-IDA Green Mark DC/QMS/ISMS/BCMS/PCIDSS/OSPAR, etc as may be required.
