As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. JERA GM is implementing a series of new IT systems to reduce its reliance on its shareholders for IT services and to enable the rapid growth into a global leader in the trading of fossil fuels.

At the core of the system landscape is a set of vendor systems that support critical business activities such as trading, risk management, pricing, and logistics. JERA GM have and will continue to make significant investments building on top of these systems to tailor them to the specific needs of its business. Up until now, this work has been performed by teams of consultants. JERA GM would like to develop an in-house capability, so they can be self-sufficient in the ongoing development on this platform.

This in-house capability needs to be able to extend, customise, configure and integrate these systems to meet the ongoing needs of the business. The Core Platform Software Engineer will:

• Work to obtain excellent business knowledge of the full transaction cycle within a multi-commodity energy trading environment such that they can converse directly with users and other stakeholders with minimal hand-holding from Business Analysts.

• Develop new features on the company's credit system (Cubelogic) and ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system to support the company's growth (new products, new processes), in a Python/Azure (Databricks & ADF)/C# / SqlServer environment.

• Demonstrate a broad set of technical skills including expert database development and administration, Python/.NET/C# development and Powershell Automation/Devops skills.

Purpose and Scope

The Contracts Engineering team plays a pivotal role in managing the financial & contractual provisions which is crucial to the successful delivery of building projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial & contractual provisions of all projects from pre-tender to post contract phases including quantities, variations, cost estimates, monthly claims, final accounts etc
• Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly updated project costing
• Develop suitable subcontract conditions for specific project requirements
• Prepare project budgeting and costing reports
• Responsible in cost estimating, quantity take off, claims preparation, variations and final accounts.
• Review of contracts, prepare tender & contract documentations, tender analysis & reporting, measurement etc
• Review sub-contractors claims and materials on site
