We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI/ML Cloud Engineer to join our team and drive the delivery of cutting-edge enterprise capabilities and solutions on the Azure AI Platform. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure specifically tailored to support our ambitious AI initiatives. This position also calls for individuals with strong leading capability to mentor team members and contribute toward the vision and strategy for Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud-based solutions that meet the complex requirements of our AI projects. This involves selecting appropriate Azure services, configuring resources, and optimizing performance to ensure seamless integration with our AI models and applications.
• AI Application Development and Operation: Integrate AI models into production environments using Azure AI Platform tools such as Azure ML, Azure AI Studio, Open AI, Vector Databases, and Databricks. Manage model inventory and artifacts life cycles, ensuring proper documentation, version control, and compliance with industry standards.
• Cloud Services Management: Implement and manage cloud-based services and infrastructure, including compute, storage, access, and networking. Oversee disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Automation and Orchestration: Build automation and orchestration to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention for AI applications. Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes to automate deployment and management processes.
• API Management: Develop and manage APIs for online endpoints for model inferencing, leveraging cloud services to automatically manage infrastructure, scaling, and availability, ensuring efficient and cost-effective model inferencing.
• Collaboration: Partner with engineers to design scalable and resilient platforms that leverage the full potential of cloud services. Cooperate with architects, data scientists, platform engineers, AI security teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and success in our AI endeavors.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based AI solutions. Collaborate with AI security groups to implement necessary controls and safeguards to protect sensitive data and intellectual property.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of AI workloads and cloud resources. Analyze resource utilization, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies like rightsizing instances, utilizing spot instances, and leveraging auto-scaling capabilities.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and AI applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures to avoid future problems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and AI technologies. Take ownership and share the vision of creative patterns, frameworks and tools that enhance our AI and ML capabilities.
• Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members. Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Lead project teams and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. in ML/AI or analytical sciences is a plus.
• Coding Languages: Proficiency in Python with various coding paradigms; competence in SQL and query optimisation. Familiarity with web stacks such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS is a plus.
• Machine Learning and AI: Deep knowledge in traditional machine learning from statistics to model building and fine tuning; hands on experience in the latest Generative AI modelling, RAG, prompt engineering.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and other relevant frameworks.
• Data Engineering and ETL Processes: Knowledge of data engineering and ETL processes.
• Cloud Technology: Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Services, including tools like Azure ML, Azure AI Studio, Open AI, Vector Databases, Databricks, Databases, Azure Function, Azure App Services
• Containerization and Orchestration: Significant experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• MLOps Practices: In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide strategic decisions and manage teams effectively.
• Cloud Certifications: Certification in cloud platforms.
• Industry Experience: 10+ years of relevant industry experiences in a similar role within the AI or tech industry.

• Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)
• To assist SRE in administrative control on the site staff, instil and maintain discipline, and punctuality, keep daily records of staff attendance, and other matters concerning the site staff administrative matters.

Requirements:

• Min 4 years of civil engineering experience
• Min 2 years of experience in various tunneling works
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Accredited as a RE with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate
• Accredited as a RE(Tunnel) with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate
• comfortable with 56 hour work week

Scope:

• Provide supervision services for all geotechnical works to ensure that contractors complies with contract/authorities'/agencies' requirements
• Oversee the geotechnical team and personnel
• Review all drawings and specifications and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details to OIC and the QP(D)s and QP(S)
• Review and comment on all construction method statements, risk assessmentsfor works, workplans, design for safety (DfS) workshop and SOP proposals
• Provide all relevant endorsements required by authorities/agencies/client
• Assist QPD for application of TOP and CSC
• Prepare site supervision plan and supervise all works directed by OIC
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion and prepare necessary site progress and status report for update to client
• Adhere to regulations and requirements of all stakeholders for any supervision work while ensuring proper supervision
• Monitor contractors' safety performance and participate actively in site safety management
• Conduct roving safety inspections, emergency & incident response and facts finding

Requirements

• Accredited with Resident Engineer certification under Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry Course (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
• Registered as Workplace safety and health officer with MOM
• Minimum 10 years of experience , of which at least 8 years in major construction works in tunnels and deep excavation and foundation
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report

• Familiar with all procedures in the Workplace Safety & Health Manual

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using various CI/CD platforms to streamline cloud deployments. • Integrate automation solutions across applications to enhance operational efficiency. • Ensure best practices and security are prioritized when developing CI/CD pipelines. • Continuously improve operational workflows through task automation. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure automation solutions meet business requirements. • Act as an innovative, hands-on DevOps engineer, focusing on both the technological and strategic aspects of the platform.

Requirements:

· Assist in all AC jobs/projects/contract

· Review all the design/checking of calculations for the company

· Represent the company, advise the same and act on its behalf to enable the company to perform its contractual obligations for the projects, as spelt out in the contract documents

· Act on behalf of the company to maintain reputation and goodwill with the clients

· Assist the Managing Director in subsequent tendering of projects and other contracts including but not limited to government projects, private projects, overseas projects

· Attend all site meetings with clients, contractors, QP Design and relevant authorities on matters related to the projects

· Attend meetings with Managing Director on regular basis with the view to report on matters related to the projects and assist in the resolution of issues which may affect the performance of the company in discharging its contractual obligations to the clients

· Promote the employer’s profile and capabilities in the procurement of projects and business development

· Be a management representative of the company for both site and office projects

· Review the design/checking of calculations

· Carry out planning, design drafting, cost estimate etc for the company’s project

· Prepare proposal and performance on tendering works for Consultancy

· Oversee authority’s submission and update of each project

· To cover duties for other Senior/ Design engineers

Criteria:

• Design Engineer (SDE) shall be an engineer in the civil/structural discipline with at least a degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience on Civil & Structural projects
• Able to problem solve and manage projects
