Job Summary
The role involves offering overarching guidance to ensure the successful completion of a project while maintaining adherence to the quality standards established by the company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying critical aspects of project execution and proactively addressing potential issues before they arise. Additionally, the position requires the verification and management of man-hour consumption across various disciplines throughout the project's duration.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Involvement in projects with budgets that start at $3 million and can exceed $20 million.
• Assist Senior Project Engineer to oversee the planning, scheduling, execution, and coordination of the technical aspects of projects.
• Facilitate collaboration between various disciplines, including procurement and construction teams.
• Coordinate cost estimation for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities.
• Maintain regular communication with assigned project clients to facilitate their engagement throughout the implementation process.
• Participate in client meetings to address and resolve project-related issues effectively.
• Oversee project documentation and manage design changes.
• Ensure the seamless execution of projects in alignment with established strategies and objectives across all phases, including feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and project handover.
• Guarantee that projects adhere to safety, cost, schedule, and quality standards.
• Conduct comprehensive contract reviews, risk assessments, and develop contingency plans.
• Organize proposal and project task forces, as well as allocate staff effectively.
• Initiate kick-off meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Prepare and analyse the overall budget cost plan.
• Monitor and evaluate project operations and timelines.
• Act as the company representative in interactions with clients.
• Develop project specifications and establish systems or processes for effective project execution.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline, with minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
• Comprehensive understanding of various engineering disciplines, including Process Technical knowledge.
Knowledge & Skills
• Proficient in Basic Design and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Familiarity with project management fundamentals, front-end engineering FEED, and relevant planning and scheduling tools is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in EPC Project Management within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.
• A team-oriented individual who excels in collaboration, showcasing strong communication and interpersonal abilities, alongside outstanding presentation, technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Highly self-driven, with the capacity to proactively create plans and carry out tasks with professionalism, diligence, and efficiency, while adhering to established company protocols.
