Job Overview:
The Senior Procurement & Admin Executive will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations and ensuring compliance with quality standards, and improving processes and sourcing strategies to ensure the timely delivery of projects. Acting as a key interface with vendors and external stakeholders, leading vendor selection and evaluation processes. With a strong background in both Engineering and procurement functions, this position may also involve preparing training materials for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for equipment and parts, including reviewing the current supply chain and expanding sources of equipment to reduce costs and improve margins.
- Negotiate prices with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best value for the company.
- Manage inventory of equipment and parts, including developing and implementing proper storage and monitoring procedures.
- Improve logistics arrangements to ensure timely deliveries and avoid project delays due to vendor issues.
- Clarify product details, cost estimation, and project logistics for effective procurement planning.
- Develop new vendor relationships and evaluate vendor performance to ensure a high level of service.
- Draft contracts for management approval and ensure procurement operations comply with regulations.
- Join strategic sourcing activities, bid evaluation, and vendor selection processes to identify new opportunities.
- Manage delivery schedules and products, including preparing bids based on assessment criteria for vendor selection.
- Prepare vendor categories and review and shortlist bid submissions.
- Review data to advise changes to procurement policies and monitor procurement budget and expenses.
- Work with key stakeholders on sourcing proposals to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Any other adhoc admin duties as per management's assignment
Professional Skills & Personal Capabilities:
- Knowledge in business, finance and government procurement will be an advantage
- Proficient in Excel, Data Analytics tools and SAP software
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Organised and meticulous
- Enjoys critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical work
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment
- Good project management skills
Education
Tertiary qualification in any discipline (preference for business, procurement, or related fields).
