COTS Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Assist Business Analysts (BA) in the elaboration of user stories.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to develop test automation scripts and address bug fixes.
• Support DevOps in the automation of build and release processes.
• Design and deliver functional software applications that exceed customer expectations.
• Enhance software quality by employing XP (Extreme Programming) practices such as code review and unit testing.
• Adhere to the Software Craftsmanship Manifesto.
• Prepare architectural and other technical documents.

Experience and Skills Needed:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Experience with Continuous Integration.
• Experience in working with agile teams, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair programming, and Scrum.
• Proficiency with both Windows and UNIX/Linux servers.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Familiarity with Unit Testing.
• Strong presentation and listening skills.
• Exposure to mobile application development is a plus.
• Working experience in Agile and UX development environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency with business process modeling techniques and BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is a plus.
• Experience in the development of internet and intranet applications is beneficial.
• Hands-on configuration experience in administering and managing COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products and features, including but not limited to rules engine, workflow, process logic, data validations, screen flows, and page layouts with products like Salesforce, ServiceNow, Sharepoint Online, Dynamics 365, etc., is advantageous.
• Experience with designing custom objects, fields, functions, layouts, processes, or validation rules is an asset.

JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design for single line diagram, electrical distribution system, small power, street lighting, compound lighting, ELV etc
• Determine the cable sizing & design routing for sub-main cabling and conduit/trunking wiring.
• Selection for cable, circuit breaker, transformers, UPS, VFD, generator.
• Supervise electrical Installation, testing and commissioning.
• Preparation of project documents including technical proposal, load list, cable schedule, cable routing, switch-room layout, load flow, etc.
• Prepare the BQ for the RFQ.
• Fault and short circuit study, harmonic analysis.
• Preparing specifications and datasheet for RFQ and review offers from vendors for compliance to technical specification, compliance with codes and regulation.
• Prepare documentation for submission and supporting project team on plant start-up, performance test, and optimization.
• Perform the cable sizing calculation and the voltage drop calculation.
• Supervise electrical Installation, testing and commissioning

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic engineering.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in process plants or in the water/wastewater industry, with good knowledge in electrical desgin of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks.
