• In addition to your global Electrical engineering role you will also provide site/regional support for global facility initiatives at your location/region
• Technically lead a global cross functional team focused on project, design, construction, operational excellence with the site Electrical systems engineers
• Provide support to all sites including on site presence for construction project and critical Electrical failures of
• Actively involved in TPM implementation and alignment along with ongoing support for Electrical systems
• Drive improvement in the quality of our utilities through variation reduction (SPC).
• Drive the alignment for common methodologies including SPC, conformance, SIPP’s, MOC and 8D problem solving throughout the network for Electrical systems
• Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for Electrical systems throughout the network
• Assess and insure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs, procedures and checklists across the network
• Regular communication with the site engineering and O&M teams on status and performance
• Analyze and benchmark equipment performance.
• Identify and develop training and certification programs that support global and site efforts
• Develop appropriate metrics to drive improvement (On time PM’s, MTTF, MTTR etc.)
• Send out regular updates with key items of focus and initiatives.
• You will review FIPA/METS events and provide recommendations to drive the reduction of critical Electrical impact events.
• Collaborate with the construction / engineering team to insure alignment on projects
• Support the network effort to implement, monitor and drive continuous improvement for success of Micron’s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy
• Benchmark system performance and drive Best-In-Class approach (BICs) across network
• In depth review of site sustainability projects and sustainability data monitoring to support site’s and company’s sustainability targets.
• Provide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning & execution
• Support sustainability projects achievement data acquisition and validation in central tracking depository.
• Conduct, Analyze and create improvement actions based on electrical systems studies using design software tools such as SKM or ETAP.

Education Required

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or any related field of study

Experience Required

• 10+ years of Facility Engineering experience and preferred with Semiconductor Industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

1) PLC Programming:

• Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automation systems across various industries.
• Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs and field devices.
• Customize PLC logic to meet project requirements.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on PLC systems.

2) SCADA Programming:

• Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems to monitor and control industrial operations.

• Configure SCADA servers, HMI (Human Machine Interface), and communication networks to integrate with PLCs and other field devices.

3) System Integration:

• Ensure smooth data exchange between PLC, SCADA, and other enterprise systems.

4) Testing and Commissioning:

• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure proper functionality and compliance with industry standards.
• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and debugging of PLC and SCADA systems.

5) Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare technical documentation, including program descriptions, schematics, and manuals.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders.

6) Support and Maintenance:

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing PLC and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.

Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in PLC and SCADA systems are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, OMRON, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFix).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and OPC.
  • Experience in designing and programming HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of control system architecture, automation, and process control.

Experience

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and delivery of DeltaV application system on site.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Automation solutions in line with S88 standards for the plant.
• Development Commissioning & Qualification protocols from C&Q Plans
• Creates and maintains applications according to technical design and requirements.
• Develop and/or review System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) deliverables, compliant with the site’s standards. Determine the processes and data flow that supports the needs of the project.
• Design & Develop plan for modifications to be made to the system through working with team in development of systems architecture, specifications, controls strategies, sequence of operations through all stages.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role, ideally in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industry.
• Emerson DeltaV DCS experience and DeltaV Batch experience required
• Experience in the Designing, Commissioning & Qualifications of DeltaV DCS project for GMP manufacturing site.
• Technical proficiency on controls systems including familiarity with control panels, networking, panel/field wiring and PLC control systems.
• Through understanding of Batch s88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units etc)
• Familiarity with GAMP lifecycle and quality management processes employed in the pharmaceutical sector
• Ability to work well in a team environment
