• Liaise with overseas offices for freight matter (e.g. rates, bookings, tracking shipment updates, etc).
• Obtain competitive freight rates from carriers and handle bookings with them.
• Handle import/export permits for customs clearance.
• Track shipment status daily and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and issue quotations and invoices promptly.
• Collaborate with local and international team for tender preparations.
• Compile project costs, shipment P&L, and generate monthly reports.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Min NITEC/ Diploma/Degree in logistics / supply chain studies or equivalent
• Min 3 years’ relevant working experience in freight forwarding
• Proficient in Microsoft Office would be advantageous
• Willing to travel overseas

Bill of Lading (BL) Drafting:

• Prepares Bill of Lading (BL) drafts and switching (changing the consignee or shipper on the bill), and coordinates with the shipping company to obtain the Original Bill of Lading (OBL), which serves as proof of ownership and a receipt for goods.

Certificate of Origin:

• They prepare the Certificate of Origin with SICCI endorsement (Singapore International Chamber of Commerce), which certifies that the goods being exported were made or produced in a particular country.

Document Preparation for Banks:

• For payments under trade finance mechanisms like under collection or Letter of Credit (LC), they prepare a full set of documents (such as bills of exchange, invoices, packing lists, insurance, certificate of origin, etc.) to submit to the bank.

Credit/Debit Notes:

• The person is also responsible for preparing credit and debit notes, which are used to correct or adjust invoices, often related to discrepancies in payments or shipment issues.

Administrative Duties:

• In addition to the technical documentation tasks, the role includes general administrative duties, such as filing, sending emails, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the shipping process.

KEY ROLE(S), RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Assist in investment operations and execution on the platforms
• Assist in portfolio management and strategic rebalancing of portfolio
• Assist in investment market and economic research in portfolio design
• Assist in managing and updating of Investment related documents
• Administrative support to the Investment Committee
• Prior Experience in a Capital markets License company would be beneficial

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Min 3 yrs work ex is preferred
• Degree holder specifically in banking finance
