-Conduct supplier’s performance review to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Technical Procurement and Documentation Management

-Ability to understand Bill of Materials and Technical Drawings for procurement purposes.

-Providing correct technical information in accordance with datasheet for new item creation in ERP system.

-Proper archive of calibration certificate and software license information in our server.

Responsibilities:

• Immediate processing of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to appropriate suppliers for quotations
• Negotiate prices and follow up on orders with suppliers
• Assess incoming quotations and confirm supplier selection after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• Collaborate closely with warehouse and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Provide forwarding instructions to the supplier
• Keep vessels and Vessel Managers informed about deliveries
• Communicate with vessel’s port agents
• Handle custom clearance
• Arrange formal bookings for service and repairs based on the Vessel Manager’s practical arrangements
• Maintain and update the supplier database on various platforms

Responsibilities:

• Negotiation to achieved cost saving driving towards KPI targeted set.
• Generate Purchase Orders and issue to vendors.
• Monitoring scheduled delivery dates and raising any related issues which might impact product quality and project timelines.
• Maintain and ensure procurement documentation is updated regularly in system (ERP).
• Send requisition and request quotation based on Requestor specification/ requirement.

Requirements:

• Nitec/ Diploma holder in Engineering or a related field.
• Min 1 – 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in Precision/ Manufacturing Engineering environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain & Inventory Management.
• Able to interpret basic mechanical drawing preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint for project management.
• Good Communication, negotiation, problem solving and sourcing skills.
• Experience in participating project management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the Contracting Strategy appropriate for the project scope, project strategy and contractor market; to be involved as early as Investment Proposal in the development of Contracting Strategy.
• Manage the pre-qualification process
• Organize pre-qualification for the tender under allocation
• Ensure updating of approved vendor list for qualified vendors/contractors
• Ensure proper implementation and follow-up of procurement contracts
• Facilitate visibility and availability of contracts.
• For purchases larger than a certain amount without framework agreement, execute and manage an optimal supplier selection process via all required steps such as: conduct internal and market analysis, determine selection criteria, develop and evaluate RFI and RFP, execute clarification meetings, communicate to bidders and cooperate with internal business partners.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering / Business
• Strong commercial awareness and experience of Contract Law, which include drafting contract/specification clauses.
• Proven experience in contract negotiations; vendor management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
