Job Description

The incumbent will work with the various stakeholders (Academic Director, relevant faculty members, students, internal and external stakeholders) to ensure the smooth running of the admissions process of the designated programmes. S/he will have an important public relations role representing the MSc Programmes Office, NUS Business School, and NUS both internally and externally and will contribute to the Business School’s mission and values.

The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Contribute to a dynamic team involved in the growth of the MSc Programmes Office
• Oversee and manage the admissions administration and processes (e.g. review application materials, organize/conduct interviews, prepare reports and admissions materials for management review, etc.)
• Liaise with prospective applicants on application documentation and submissions
• Oversee and provide support to students for admissions-related matters (e.g. Application process, Matriculation, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with faculty in conducting and transcribing admission interviews
• Contribute to the review and improvement of the admissions processes
• Conduct administrative briefing sessions for students
• Provide admission and general counselling to students
• Generate reports for the management team
• Coordinate overseas delegation visits and summer programmes
• Train and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• Degree from a reputable University in any discipline
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a higher education institution
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage and consult with senior-level internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organizational ability and high attention to detail in tracking and managing admissions for academic programmes
• Observant in identifying process, operational and service gaps and propose solutions
• Passionate in seeking constant improvements to processes and service delivery
