Job Responsibilities

• Review of documents prior to publication of quotation/tender (ITQ/ITT)
• Review and provide feedback on Quotation & Tender Evaluation Reports
• Review and approval of awards
• Assist with stakeholders’ queries
• Review of procurement work processes for compliance and improving efficacy
• Supervise and guide colleagues in the procurement team
• Conduct training sessions for Schools and Departments
• Involvement in procurement development projects to enhance procurement process efficacy Identify opportunities for process improvements

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in public procurement
• Possess good analytical and problem solving skills to address cross functional work issues

• Hands on experience with procurement platform, GeBIZ, and Cumulus (Workday) system will be added advantage

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Director, SMAI, you will play a pivotal role as a cost transformation director in driving cost reduction initiatives across procurement and manufacturing functions. You will lead and establish a team of I4.0 Managers & Analysts. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of cost improvement ideas. You will develop AI & Data Science solutions and work closely with collaborators to ensure positive impact and balanced results. · Vendor Sourcing and Pre-Qualification

(a) Source and assess suitable vendors.

(a) Receive purchase request (PR), or quotation/tender request from colleagues.

(b) Prepare quotation / tender invitation letters and issue to shortlisted vendors.

(c) Prepare tender documents (with reference to past tenders and new requirements).

(d) Call for quotations or conduct tender exercise.

(e) Collate quotation/tender clarification questionnaires from PMD/PM and issue to participating vendors.

· Negotiations and Appoint Vendors

(a) Compare quotations received, negotiate pricing and tabulate cost comparison table for PMD/PM.
