Our Client is a global corporation that specializes in a broad range of services related to energy-efficiency in various industrial and commercial settings. They aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain and Procurement to be based at their HQ in Singapore.
Job Description
You will be reporting to the Head of Department directly. The majority of your responsibilities will include overseeing the achievement of the function's goals, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of decision impacts and connections within the supply chain for Containers.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensure the availability of an adequate supply of materials for uninterrupted production runs
- Lead a team of buyers and procurement specialists in purchasing activities for direct materials, aligning with production schedules
- Lead the Purchasing team in constant review and analysis of material costs, actively seeking opportunities for cost reduction
- Drive inventory programs supporting lean inventory to achieve the company's desired goals on inventory turns
- Establish key elements of Supply Chain plans, including operations, specific interventions, related costs, and timelines, in alignment with organizational strategy
- Develop new systems and processes supporting the Supply Chain strategy, leading collaboration with channel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers
- Gather input on raw material prices from primary and secondary sources, identify outsourcing and cost reduction opportunities, and collect other pertinent information for developing the supply chain management strategy
- Provide input on cost-saving opportunities and market cost data for formulating the budget for the year
The Successful Applicant
You should have a Diploma or a Degree in Engineering/Material Management/Purchasing or related experience in a manufacturing environment. You must possess strong analytical, planning and interpersonal skills; with the ability to communicate well between internal and external stakeholders. It is essential that you are good with Materials and Planning. You should be familiar with relevant contract laws pertaining to Purchasing, and proficient in tools such as SAP/Ariba/Excel.
