Responsibilities

• Provide production support across all products under the department’s responsibility (server hardware, VMware and Nutanix environment) including day-to-day administration, support shift and weekend operations.
• Provide support in Asia Pacific region.
• Monitor all technical platforms to ensure continual and quality service provisioning.
• Plan and deploy upgrades and configuration changes to fulfil compliance, security or audit requirements.
• Provide guidance for virtualization best practices.
• Manage projects and new initiatives under virtualization perimeter.
• Configure and test HA/BCP on virtual environment.
• Work in close relationship with other IT teams to ensure client requirement and expectation are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Work with global team to align standards.
• Deliver continuous improvement of the platform through automation.
• Follow and work under Agile SCRUM framework through delivery of backlog in sprints.

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
• Broad experience in IT infrastructure support and operations
• VMware and Nutanix certificates would be a plus
• Experience with Agile SCRUM framework would be a plus
• Experience with Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) would be a plus

Operational Skills:

• Strong experience in VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter, vRA and Nutanix
• Solid experience in server hardware (HPE, DELL, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skill
• Hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting
• Hands-on experience in infrastructure automation through CI/CD, DevOps tooling like Python, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Git, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Good understanding of networking technologies (switching, routing, firewall, etc.)
• Fluent English is mandatory, and excellent communication is a must
• ITIL foundation knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure and Network Setup: Retail System and POS
  • Lead the deployment of IT retail systems and POS solutions across multiple locations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of POS systems with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to retail staff on new systems and technologies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and network systems.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of network solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in Retail IT Solutions
• Experience in IT infrastructure, network management, and POS systems in retail industry.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• IT Infrastructure: Experience with setting up and managing servers, storage solutions, and cloud services.
• Network Management: Proficiency in configuring and maintaining network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software. Knowledge of network security protocols.
• POS Systems: Hands-on experience with POS systems, integration and troubleshooting

• Design of control systems, instrumentation, cabling and cable support systems for Process equipment, Industrial Facilities and Commercial Buildings, with the support of a senior engineer if necessary;
• Design of Life Safety System comprising of Public Address Systems, Access control, Closed Circuit Television, Gas Detection and Fire Alarm systems with the support of a senior engineer if necessary;
• Design of Information Technology cabling system with the support of a senior engineer if necessary;
• Develop P&IDs, Instruments and IO list, Sequence of Operations, Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect matrices with the support of a senior engineer if necessary;
• Develop / Execute / Expedite ELV packages during design, procurement, construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages;
• Co-ordination and scheduling activities for the ELV supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates;
• Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into the ELV systems design;
• Technical Evaluation of vendor submissions including approval of shop drawings;
• Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and manage subcontractor during commissioning of the Extra Low Voltage systems;
• Guiding Designer / Draftsman for preparing cable routing plan, hookup drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedule, Junction Box schedule, Instrument Air manifold schedule, Block diagrams, P&IDs, Control System Schematic.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Good technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering Design and Construction for Basic Electrical Equipment and distributions concepts
• Basic knowledge of Project execution processes.
• Advanced knowledge of local code of practice of design implementation.
• Local construction knowledge
