Position: Process Engineer
Job Description:
We are currently expanding our team and are looking for a process engineer on site with a client. In summary, you will be supporting the design, recipe design and testing, modification of process equipment, troubleshooting process equipment, and ensuring compliance with change control, deviation, and CAPA processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, and support implementation of engineering-based improvements or upgrades to the equipment or facility systems. This may include development of business case for improvement and identification of design requirements and then translation of requirements into process equipment/system design, specification and supporting the construction, startup, and validation of equipment.
- Support equipment maintenance programs, ensure the availability of spare parts, and coordinating maintenance execution as necessary to ensure systems are in proper working order.
- Ensure systems are installed and operating safety and in compliance with pertinent environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulations.
- Ensure necessary commissioning and qualification of systems is completed in alignment with GMP requirements and interact with regulatory inspectors as necessary.
- Providing troubleshooting support to reduce production downtime. This will involve leading and/or supporting technical root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive action.
- Support new product/technology introductions by performing engineering assessments, implementing equipment modifications, and supporting engineering runs.
- Communicating proactively with supervisor and support staff, highlighting issues and proposing solutions
- Create, review, revise and approve technical reports and engineering documents such as URS, FS, SDS, P&IDs, etc.
- Serve as a lead in holding meetings for risk assessments and hazards analysis of SMEs s e.g. microbial control risk assessments.
- Support the technology transfer of new products/processes e.g. perform field testing.
- Collaborative Work: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field (e.g., biology, biotechnology, biochemistry). ·
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
- Great team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels
