Role Summary:
They are seeking an individual with strong logical thinking skills and emotional intelligence to lead their Trade Product workstream. This role involves managing their trade product offerings to optimize business performance, drive product development, and form strategic partnerships to expand market presence and strengthen client relationships.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in product management within the financial services or trade finance sectors, with a proven ability to create partnerships that foster growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including legal, tax, and risk management aspects.
- Collaborate with Digital Solutions and Technology teams to implement the product in the company systems.
- Work with Sales, Operations, and Technology teams to align product strategies with market needs and evaluate performance.
- Streamline product structure for better efficiency and market appeal to drive growth.
- Train frontline staff and effectively market the product to corporate and funder clients.
- Build strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings and achieve business results.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends for product improvement and innovation.
- Uphold high ethical standards and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
Role specific technical competencies:
- 10+ years in product management, focusing on receivables and supply chain finance.
- Experience with documentary trade and open account transactions.
- Background working with SMEs and large multinational corporations.
- International experience in top-tier trade banks.
- Preferable experience in sales, risk management, or process design.
- Comfort with the fast-paced environment of a growing start-up and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate in virtual teams.
- Proven product management experience in financial services or trade finance.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
Qualifications (training, licenses, memberships, and certifications):
- Degree in any discipline from a top university.
- Chartered Financial Analyst or GARP Financial Risk Manager certifications would be advantageous.
