The primary functions of an operations department include the design and management of products, services and processes. To prepare shippable items by proper packaging, sealing, labeling, and preparing the item for transportation. On the job training will be provided.

Reporting Officers: (Packing) Section Head & Production Planner

Job Responsibilities:

● To pack & label pastry/savory/bakery products ensuring that the required quantity is met according to schedule & product specifications

● To maintain consistent quality in the packing & labelling of products

● To ensure proper storage & handling of products

● To pick & dispatch products according to customers' orders

● To execute all duties tasked by Reporting Officers in the department

● To observe and adhere to highest safety, sanitary & hygiene standards in the production area

● To comply with ISO 22000, AVA and other local food authorities, including MUIS/Halal, requirements

● To perform or assist with administrative activities such as those related to production planning & ISO 22000/SAP production documentation

● To ensure proper and safe use of all equipment and work areas

● To closely work with the team and the department

Job Requirements:

● Exposure in the packing, labelling &/or dispatching of western pastry/savoury/bakery products & on a large scale

● Familiarisation with ISO 22000 Food Quality Control System

● Knowledge in running the relevant equipment, as necessary

Overall Objectives

Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the production department

Core Responsibilities

1. Ensure work order schedule is strictly adhered to for smooth operations
2. Technical training of new technicians, and the upskilling of existing technicians
3. Hosting daily toolbox meetings
4. Operation of machine (if necessary)
5. Oversee general upkeep, cleanliness, safety and maintenance of production workshop and equipment
6. Liaison between shopfloor and office, and with external vendors relating to equipment maintenance and repair
7. Administrative duties such as approval of completed production work order documents and programs, and recording of details of both in-house and external maintenance work

Key Deliverables

1. Continuous development and improvement of the production department by developing operator skills and manufacturing processes
2. Increasing efficiency in the daily operations of the production department

• Operate machinery safely and effectively for production processing and handling of raw materials to meet production schedule.
• Operate forklift to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
• Ensure work done meet quantity, quality and environment & safety standards.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operations.
• Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perfom and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
• Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirement:

• Min Secondary Education of O Level
• Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing Industry with continuous plant operations
• Forklift license
• Physically Fit
• Willing to commit 12 hours alternante shift ( Alternate week of day and night)

Salary :

Salary stated is a basic salary. Min clocking of 40hours/week.
