What the role is

What you will be working on

With a main focus on the Critical Systems field, and additional opportunities to contribute across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, and Retail, you will work in a team of expert engineers and technicians, and interact with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.

The Skills

Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering you have gained experience in an Mechanical Engineering role, ideally within a data centre/critical systems context

You have proven experience in detailed coordination with other design disciplines and are well-versed in mechanical theory and the use of relevant design software. You will also be required to support other team resources including junior engineers and BIM/CAD technicians.

You have proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development, and crucially - you have a passion for accurate design of mechanical systems.

Given this role's collaborative and client-focused nature, excellent communication skills and experience in using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.

As a Production Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in operationalizing, maintaining, scaling, and optimizing our AI-driven applications and supporting infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development and Operations:Collaborate with Software Engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure systems using React, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes stack.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in a combination of software development, production operations, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or security roles.
• Strong application development experience in Javascript and Python, particularly with RESTful API design and development using a service-oriented architecture.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Github Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
• Strong experience with Bash, and other similar scripting languages.
• Solid understanding of frontend frameworks, particularly React, and their interaction with backend services.

Preferred Qualifications:
