• Identify, study, propose, and implement area for improvement in the field of instrumentation engineering to enhance operation and improve overall equipment reliability
• Supervise on-site contractors/additional supplier’s C&I technician(s) as well as C&I vendors to perform site works, review their work procedures and instructions to ensure compliance to achieve highest quality of work in a safe manner
• Participate actively in any meeting, discussion and initiative by team which is relevant to the job role and business needs in order to safeguard company’s interest
• Populate inputs into the Computerized Materials and Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure data and history of equipment maintenance activities are captured accurately. Provide inputs to Planning Engineer with regard to instrument maintenance activities for consolidation

Job Requirements

• Possess a degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering with at least three (3) years of working experience in the instrumentation field, or a diploma in the same fields with at least seven (7) years of working experience in instrumentation field
• Proficient in the codes and standards in the power plant industry i.e. BSI, ISO27001, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a team player and able to work with all levels of management and multinational staff
• Hands-on experience in field instrumentation and sensors of different makes
• Proficient in power plant DCS and HMI systems, specifically experience with ABB Advant DCS, GE Alspa DCS will be an advantage
• Proficient in any power plant PLC control system
• Proficient in the P&ID, loop diagram, process functional flow diagram and familiar with gas turbine / steam turbine operations and protection concepts
• Cyber security knowledge in Operation Technology will be an added advantage

• Provide administrative support to the Senior Production Executive and overall department to ensure smooth running of the operation
• Provide training and guidance for Production Assistants
• Data entry of daily production input and output including volume produced, new material consumed, material and products on-hold/defect
• Compile information such as production rates and progress, material inventory, material used and customers' information so that status report can be completed
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer and Production Supervisor in updating production charts, checklists and data
• Assist in preparing production reports and perform simple analysis on reports
• Maintain and update departmental overtime records
• Ensure proper documentation procedures are adhered to and conform to ISO standards and requirements
• Help to coordinate stock take process

• Coordinate production workflows in the shopfloor
• Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delay
• Plan a weekly machine loading plan and 3 months forecasted loading plan
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
• Recommend to Master Scheduler on deployment of workers and other staff to meet production and delivery requirements
• Recommend shift schedule to Master Scheduler accordingly to production needs
• Liaise with Purchasing and Suppliers for material deliveries and outsourcing schedules
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time
• Address issues whenever they arise with the aim of minimal disruption
• Obtain output information (Number of finished products etc.)
• Prepare and submit status and performance
• Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Store, Engineering and other departments to ensure good production flow and coordination
• Manage and train the assistant planners and subordinates
• Any other duties assigned by the Manager

Requirements

Description of Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plan and execute corrective/preventive maintenance on facility equipment and plant equipment to ensure good efficiency and availability. Generate equipment and facilities related records/reports/ documentations on above activities.
2. Implement TPM strategy. Responsible for tracking machinery spare parts usage, maintaining adequate quantity, critical parts requirement, spare parts management, continuous improvement, and ISO audits.
3. Support EHSS related topics, ensure site is in full compliance with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Security regulation and policy.
4. Resolve various equipment performance issues internally before approaching equipment vendor. Review equipment log and technician feedback for quick solutions.
5. Liaise and co-ordinate jobs to be performed by contractors for facilities and plant equipment. Ensure work completion and achieve high standard of work.
6. Perform site EHSS inspection/audits and ensure that all corrective / preventive actions are close in timely manner. Responsible for internal/external audits and EHSS activities.
7. Interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings for equipment troubleshooting with at least 3 years hand-on experience
8. Evaluate existing/new contractors’ performance and negotiate with them on quotations and service level.

Knowledge:

• Hands on experience in mixer and milling equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge in TMP, Equipment FMEA is an advantage.
• Knowledge in facilities maintenance (Electrical, water, AC) is an advantage.
• EHS competence, familiar with ISO45001 & ISO14000 is a plus.

Skills:

• Able to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical diagrams and carried out maintenance work accordingly.
• Lead and guide technicians on above work.
