Overall Job Objectives

Assists the PM to oversee the construction activities, progress, planning, implementing, and monitoring of work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programme

Core Responsibilities

1. Attend site meetings and inspection

2. Preparation of documentation including project status report, method of statement and work procedure for the project.

3. Planning, executing, monitoring and control of the project.

4. Liaising and coordinating with all parties such as clients, consultants, consultants’ representatives, site supervisors, and sub-contractors

5. Handing of technical and engineering problems

6. Supervise ongoing site activities closely

7. Ensuring that the quality control of the project is met

8. Ensure that all the construction safety rules and regulations are being observed

9. Prepare necessary work and safety permits, submission documents and drawings once work are completed.

10. Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Job Specifications

1. Degree in Engineering or related disciplines

2. Able to read/understand/execute work based on construction drawings

3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

What will you do?

• Manage the development of the internal engineering productivity tools and environments.
• Providing DevOps architecture implementation and operational support
• Architecture and planning for cloud deployments (Private and Public cloud);
• Be an innovative and hands-on DevOps engineer capable of looking at both the technology and strategy around the platform.
• Future-proofing the technical environments and ensuring extremely high levels of automation, availability, scalability and resilience.
• Manage the development of the internal engineering productivity tools and environments.
• Manage processes, automation, best practices, documentation.
• Development and operation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Monitoring automation to effectively detect/predict/prevent issues in the environment and code base.
• Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required
• Working with the latest tools and techniques
• Hands-on coding and mentoring, usually in a pair programming environment
• Working in highly collaborative teams and building quality environments.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment
• Knowledge in lots of different open source technologies and configurations. 

What are we looking for?

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology,
• Communications or other related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Devops automation, containerisation and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and Docker
• Strong scripting skills e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript
• Cloud computing deployment and management experience – AWS, Azure
• Understand/practice Agile projects
• Strong understanding of networking
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Preferred:

• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
• Breadth of knowledge - OS, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing

Job Responsibilities:

· Database Management: Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems and related products.

· Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

· Backup and Recovery: Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

· Optimization: Optimize and tune databases for performance and efficiency.

Job requirement:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MySQL Certified Professional) preferred.

· Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.

· Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

· Experience with database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and high availability.

· Knowledge of database design and data modeling.

· Familiarity with cloud-based databases and services (e.g., AWS RDS, Aliyun RDS ,Tencent RDS) is a plus.

· Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g.,, Python, Go,Bash).

Job Duties:

• Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory
• Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
• Have the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities and interact with customers on technical issues and questions
• Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory and works on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis
• Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data and able to utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis
• Has a clearly demonstrated ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a minimum Bachelor Degree of Science or Engineering major and 2 years of relevant working experience in a testing related field
• Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts and compiles testing data from the tests performed
