Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:

• Operate, manage, and maintain VMWare ESX and HCI technologies

• Knowledge of administering Windows Server 2016, SQL 2016 and Windows Clustering technology

• Red Hat administration

• Plan, coordinate, and execute product installations, product upgrades, patch installations and hot fix installations

• Create, manage, and maintain documentation related to the managed systems and operation

• Perform hardening benchmarks adhering to defined procedure and checklist. Maintain the infrastructure in such a way that it is secure against unauthorized access.

• Deploy and deliver the project deliverables as stated in the project scopes extracted from the proposal/contract.

• Update the Infrastructure team lead on the project progress and status.

• Implement changes through Change Management Process on system components. Ensure change impact is evaluated, contingency plan and test plans are created to support the change request.

• Build, configure, and rollout new releases through Release Management Process on system components that affect operations. Organize training for new releases where necessary.

• Identify, isolate, resolve, escalate and close incident/problem ticket according to ITSM Incident/Problem Management Process.

• Ensure backup and recovery of system components is carried out, so that critical services can continue in the event of a disaster.

• Perform daily system health check

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position would be advantageous.

• Preferably possess certifications such as Microsoft MCITP, VMWare certified professional or equivalent

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated SCADA Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems for a variety of industrial projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in SCADA software and hardware, communication protocols, and system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless system operations and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SCADA systems tailored to project requirements, ensuring full functionality and performance.
• Install and configure SCADA software and hardware components, including PLCs, RTUs, and communication protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IEC 104, BACNET).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation such as user manuals, technical specifications, and configuration guides.
• Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions and errors, identifying root causes and providing effective solutions.
• Perform routine system upgrades and patching to maintain optimal system performance, functionality, and security.
• Conduct testing and validation procedures to ensure compliance with all project requirements and industry standards.
• Work closely with project managers, solution architects, and engineers to ensure efficient communication and successful project delivery.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users, including operators and maintenance personnel.
• Participate in initiatives to continuously improve system performance, reliability, and overall efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA software and hardware components, including PLCs, RTUs, and communication protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IEC 104, BACNET).
• Proficiency in IoT protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/S.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containers is a plus.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.

3. To verify the work done on site are in accordance to the approved drawings / specifications / authority’s requirement and also ensured that the subcontractor carry out rectification for non-compliance.
4. To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractor / supplier ASAP in order to minimise delay to the construction progress.
5. To ensure that the related documentations are updated and ready for ISO audit.
6. To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework.
7. Assist site management team in project Planning & coordination.
8. Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation.
9. Arrange and prepare documents for authorities’ submission for Conquas, RI, TOP etc.
10. To study tender / construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
11. Understanding of critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.
12. Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
13. Strong oral and written communication skills.
14. Able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated.
15. Able to provide guidance to new staff / junior staff.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a DevOps Engineer at ZAGA OPENSOURCE PTE. LTD. in Singapore. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and

maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and technologies that support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and monitoring tools
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Leads operations, assigns work orders, and/or provides technical and procedural training of coworkers and subcontractors. Arranges for subcontractors as needed.
• Consults with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
• Formulates and implements a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Monitors building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by engineering staff. Determines that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Assist as needed with routine preventative maintenance functions (filter changes, belt replacements, water treatment, etc.)
• Ability to perform work independently after being given specific instructions.
• Must be able to work effectively with other team members and safety conscious environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• College Graduate (Engineering i.e., mechanical, or Electrical or any related courses)
• IFM property Management experience for commercial offices (At least 4-5 years)
• High IFM and Technical knowledge particularly in equipment’s and engineering (mechanical, electrical and such)
• Knowledgeable in equipment’s such as genset, UPS, BMS, FDAS, etc Certification on Safety Training would be an advantage.
• Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
